Back to Eden Vegan Vegetarian Cafe — Restaurant in Flagler Beach

I honestly wish I could review the food here because the other reviews were so positive. Unfortunately we were never given the chance because my family and I were chased out of the parking lot by who was probably the owner saying we weren't allowed to park there. We tried to explain that we were there to get food/drinks from her establishment but she said that she was closed even though it was supposed to be open due to listed hours and there was an open sign and the door was open. As we were loading everyone back in the truck my mother joked "I guess you'll have to get your juice another time" and the owner responded that she doesn't do that even though the sign read fresh juice. Very bizarre situation and if she were to handle it differently I definitely would have come back to actually try the food but it left such a bad taste in my mouth that there is no way I'd ever attempt a return visit. There are plenty of other places to get healthy food...

oh my Goodness I love Maria (owner). The food is cooked to order *not a fast food place., I repeat not a fast food place. Be prepared to wait a few minutes for your food. Menu is based on what's in season so she and available at at market that day. So you have to call or order on site. I have a vegan wrap with a side kale salad which was delicious. My cousin (whom turn me on to this place have a vegan burger and aci bowl which I tasted and it was delicious. Ordered a spicy bunny smoothie which never made it out the store. This is a diamond in the ruff for sure. She even does workshops to teach how to fix vegan dishes. Love love...

If I could leave a 0 star I would - not sure who it was, but I parked in her lot for maybe 10 minutes and she came outside yelling at me to pay her $5 for parking. I explained I did not realize this parking lot had a fee, as no parking in Flagler beach charges. She was yelling this over customers at her restaurant so I’m sure they felt just as Awkward. I was going to get a tea from the wonderful Flagler tea company and then get some food from back to eden but then decided not to once I was yelled at from across her parking lot.
