Only the food is worthy of customers. Walked in to the smoky restaurant to seat ourselves for lunch at 12:45 on a Thursday. It was almost one before the server showed up either the excuse, “sorry, I was getting cups”. She took our drink order and left before we could give her our food order. She immediately checked on her only other table. That tells me that she not only would rather get cups than greet us, her other table is more important than serving us. (Yup bad start for someone looking for a decent tip.) After she delivered our water and took our food order we did not look for our appetizer for awhile. Instead we were focused on the heavy chlorine taste in the water. This reminded me of the Guinness I had here last time. I had noticed the bartender rinsed glasses just before drawing the stout. It left a strong chlorine taste as well. Not a welcome taste for the $7.00+ draught. Our waitress came back to our table to apologize that she had forgotten to put our appetizer order into the kitchen until just now. -nice. When the pretzel bites came out they looked awesome and tasted even better. (Finally, a brighter side ). In good time our entrees were being walked to another table After a quick look around the server came to our table. The Cobb salad was special ordered and was perfect except the chicken chunks were a little too big and pretty much tasteless. The mushroom and Swiss burger was by far the best I have ever had. That includes Red Robin’s or even mine. The seasoned tater tots matched nicely with color, flavor and crunch. I have been here several times with friends from work. The service and liquids are always the same - lacking. In summary, bring a fun friend here for...
Read moreWe had Trinity and Brianna as our servers -
We didn't get to see Trinity a lot, as their shift was ending, but they were very nice:)
Brianna took over for the rest of our service and was very kind as well. Brianna took care of us and checked up on us multiple times during our meal and even got me a side of eel sauce
Read moreWe ordered for take-out so I can't speak to the atmosphere or service inside the restaurant. Our food was very good, the food prices were fair, and they sent plenty of condiments which was great. My issue is with all of the weird additional costs when ordering for delivery. There was a place for a "tip" and I called to verify who would be receiving this tip because it was take-out and we wouldn't have a server so I wondered if the tip would go to the driver. I was told the tip would be for the person packing up the food. I asked if this person had other duties and was told they did not and that they receive an hourly wage and do not rely on tips like the servers do. There was a $7.75 Delivery Fee which I discovered did not go to the driver when I received the email receipt and there was no driver tip included so I had to tip the driver cash. Now I'm wondering who got the $7.75 Delivery Fee. Is this fee what pays for the person who packs up the food? I don't like ambiguous fees, I want to know what I'm paying for and who it's going to. I ordered direct from the restaurant, rather than Door Dash because I wanted to support the business and I know the food delivery companies very often screw over the companies they deliver for but I feel like I paid extra for trying to do right by the restaurant. I won't order take-out again unless I can pick up because with all the additional charges and tip a $31 bill turned...
