I have yet to find decent Middle Eastern food in FL. Maybe I'm spoiled because I used to live near Dearborn MI and we used to have our own middle eastern restaurant, but I was not impressed with this place. The restaurant is dark and grimey. The service was unremarkable, and the server acted annoyed with us and was unfriendly, I would be happy to overlook all of this if the food was good, but it's just not, and it's overpriced for what it is. Baba Ganoush was pureed and had cumin and sumac in it!🧐 I asked the server if it was supposed to be Baba Ganoush and she said yes, I told her I have never seen pureed Baba Ganoush, she told me everyone makes it that way, umm no honey, they don't. My fatoush was very crisp and fresh but the dressing was awful, it had no taste, it just tasted like cheap oil and vinegar. I added more of the dressing from the table and salt, but it still wasn't great. My daughter's chicken shawarma sandwich was good, but it wasn't like any shawarma I've ever had. I don't think the chicken was actually cooked on rotisserie like true shawarma. I think this was something they marinated and cooked on the grill. It had a good flavor, but it didn't taste taste like shawarma to me. I didn't notice any garlic sauce or tahini in the sandwich, and there was no pickles or pickled turnip, just iceberg lettuce which had become mushy, who puts iceberg lettuce in a shawarma sandwich? I didn't feel like this place puts love and care into their food, I felt like they are just there to make a buck off of people who don't know that this isn't good middle eastern food, but maybe I just caught them...
Read moreI've been eyeing this place for years since my mom and I moved to Kissimmee and I love falafel. I ordered the vegetarian platter and Mom ordered the lamb shank. We were so disappointed. I ordered takeout and was highly disappointed in the food. Moms lamb shank was somehow falling off the bone, but also somehow also dry and tough. Her rice tasted like boxed rice from the supermarket. The pita looked store bought.
My falafels were ok, but nothing special. The hummus tasted like it was from a package. The dolmades were inedible because they were so oily with way too much lemon. The lentil soup was too salty. That was just the food.
I ordered my food takeout and as I walked in I noticed that there was only one couple sitting down to eat (never a good sign). As I approached the host's station, he barely looked up from the phone and gave me the "wait finger", which I detest. Then another worker came out from the back to take care of me which seemed to prompt the host to finally get off the phone, only to tell me to give him a minute while he proceeded to have some in depth discussion with the guy from the back. I got sick of waiting and just outright asked if my food was ready and was again told to wait just one minute... As if they were so busy that they couldn't take care of one customer whose food was sitting on the counter right next to him.
For that kind of service, they should have had a packed house and the food needed to be stellar and fresh tasting and none of those was the case. Hard pass on a...

The menu at Jerusalem Restaurant features a variety of traditional and contemporary Middle Eastern dishes. As a fan of lamb, I couldn't resist trying their Lamb Chops and Kabobs. The lamb chops were marinated in a blend of aromatic spices and herbs and cooked to tender perfection. The flavors were well-balanced, with a hint of smokiness that complemented the meat's natural flavor.
The Kabobs were equally delicious, with juicy and succulent pieces of chicken, beef, and lamb perfectly seasoned and grilled. The skewers were served with warm, fluffy pita bread and a trio of tasty sauces - a cool, creamy tzatziki, a tangy garlic sauce, and a spicy harissa. This combination of tastes and textures made the Kabob experience truly memorable.
The portions at Jerusalem Restaurant were generous, leaving me feeling satisfied and delighted with my meal. The service was attentive and efficient, with staff members making excellent recommendations and ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
In conclusion, Jerusalem Restaurant is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking authentic Middle Eastern flavors in Orlando. Whether you're already a fan of the cuisine or just looking to try something new, you won't be disappointed with the delicious offerings at...
