Baskin-Robbins — Restaurant in Florida

I am a local and have developed a love/hate relationship with this place. This is NOT a negative review, just a thorough one. Allow me to explain why.

This is the closest location to where I currently live. As a result, we make frequent trips here looking for specific flavors we are fond of. More specifically Pistachio Almond and Jamoica Almond Fudge. As these are the flavors we get almost everytime, the pre packed QUARTS are convenient (you'll see why quarts is in caps in a minute). The special is 2 quarts for $12. Not a bad deal. However, they seemingly don't stock the pistachio flavor any longer and the other flavor it's hot or miss.

Because of this, we would elect to pack fresh quarts with these flavors, which they have available for customers to buy in cups or cones or whatnot.

This is where things get interesting...

For the last, I don't know... Year, it seems.... each time we've gone in the store we've been told:

They don't have the flavors They don't have quart containers They don't have quart lids They aren't allowed to pack quarts Etc etc

So we usually leave unhappy. During our last visit, I asked if they had quart lids and containers since that's what we're always told they don't have and they can't serve us since they don't have it.

There were three young ladies who were working that day, and the one I asked said yes they did. I said great, I'll take 4 quarts of ice cream. After going to the scoop area, I was told the price it would be for my ice cream, which seemed rather high. I asked about the special and was told they had to use pint containers. I looked at the container and remarked that it was a quart, not pint. After a little confusion, I went to the freezer, grabbed a pre packed quart, and asked one of them to simply place it inside the empty container.

It fit like a glove.

After realizing they were actually using quart containers, they were all more than happy to finish the order.

As a side note, in the past I have tried calling this establishment and never can get through. I've even asked if they have a phone to which I've been told no, they do not. I asked these young ladies and they said, yes, they do indeed have a phone, but the other workers take it off the hook or disconnect it.

These ladies renewed my faith in this particular location (as others have been less than sub-par) and I will continue to come here. But I've come to realize it depends ENTIRELY on who is working that day which determines the experience you have.

To any management reading this, I believe this serves as a teachable opportunity for some of the workers that customer service and training matters.

To any locals or vacationers, take note of everything above.

To the ladies working that day, my family and I thank you, again. The ice cream is great and we'll be back...

TERRIBLE SERVICE me and my family waited in the line for 15 minutes and there was a person In front of us and the workers weren’t even paying attention to the costumers there were like 6 people in the pack my step mom had to finally step up and say something and one person came up and helped and it was taking so long and the lady that was helping was struggling to get everyone and the other workers weren’t doing anything and just laying around again my stepmom had to ask for another worker to come help! This is absolutely crazy. The flavors were terrible and they were out of so many things and some how the mint chocolate chip was watery?
