Update: a year later, the food is still good but I often find that they have an issue keeping items in stock. During peak hours, especially around lunch (12pm) service is slower. Even for an online order. I had ordered mine about 20 minutes before pick up and it took closer to 40 minutes. Sometimes the area where the drinks are is missing straws or forks. Little things that become a big issue later. It would be nice if they had a combo meal as well. Everything is a la carte.
LOVED IT! It's giving Moe's/Chipotle with the make your own bowl option with Mediterranean food. BUT ITS SO MUCH BETTER THAN MOES OR CHIPOTLE! The food is so fresh. They have steak, chicken, and lamb. They gave super great portions without charging extra. Unexpected likes were the braised lamb, the spicy broccoli, and THE PITA CHIPS! The pita chips are so good. They ship them from a shop in Brooklyn, fry them...oh man! They are crunchy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. With the seasoning, u can eat these as is. You don't even need the dip. I would go for a fountain drink instead of bottled. The lemonades and sodas on top are 10/10...but the star is the Cucumber Lime drink...the drink of the summer. It was sweet, refreshing...oh man! I cannot stop gushing. I live further out but would travel to come get this.
The manager and general manager were in today and they made the experience even better. They had spot on recommendations and were super kind to our kids. They went out of their way to make our experience a great one.
The atmosphere...can potentially get crowded. The decor and seating made it feel half finished. I liked the bright yellow ambience near the drinks, but wish the paneling or vibrance of that area extended throughout. Read moreFound CAVA recently and it immediately became my favorite. I love Mediterranean food so driving 30 minutes one way was inconvenient but not a big deal. However, the more I visit the more my frustration grows and now reading other reviews I can see my frustration is not going to get any better as most reviews are 2+ months older than mine with the same issue. Anyways, Having been 5 times now, I can confidently say that CAVA won’t last long in this area if they don’t get their supply, cleanliness and preparedness under control. I’ve been 5 times at different points of the day (late lunch, late dinner, early dinner, etc) and they have been out of two or more things in each category every. Single. time. Sunday at 6:30, they don’t close until 10 yet they’re out of harissa chicken, steak , pickled onions, feta. When I asked if they were working on bringing anymore of these items to the line, the girl working the toppings/register informed me no, they were done for the day. The last time we visited they were out of harissa chicken, steak, corn, tomato/cucumber salad, feta, and cucumbers with zero intention of restocking the line again. I’m not sure what the issue is, but it’s rather frustrating to go in with an idea of what you want or to want to order a certain menu bowl but they’re out of most toppings and don’t intend to restock. In addition to that, the restaurant space is always dirty, drink containers are either empty or almost empty and out of ice. Old trash and food on the floor and tables and I’m sure the health department would have a field day with what this place turns into behind the counter. So is it a shortage of people, a supply issue, laziness or a combination? I hope it gets better soon as the food is good when they have it stocked and I’d hate to see the place go...

The management only care about the Doo Dash / Uber App orders ( I am assuming because those customers pay much more for the same or less).
While dinning in, we stood in line for a while until finally someone helped us. Then we had to wait some more in front of our plates of salad waiting for the meats to be cooked. It took them about 20 mins( chicken and lamb to be cooked) as we watched the other staff walking in front of us prepping the online apps Door Dash Uber orders.
We just stood there. Finally after the chicken and lamb were cooked, we moved to the other section. Now, they had no onions, no cheese, no avocados no white sauce. In between us was the other staff member still grabbing toppings for the online orders. They put the leftover tiny crumbles of feta to the online order. We asked to speak the manager. He came out and I asked him... why don't you pause the Door Dash app orders for a second so you can take care of all us, and all that you are lacking while you get situated? and he said no "I can't do that". He said onions were ordered 3 days ago and walked off. Clueless or careless about all the other things that they were lacking with a line of people at the lobby.
