The bartender serving us was great. The rest of the experience was mid at best. I'm surprised this spot has such high reviews but maybe we experienced an off night because they were changing menus the next day.
We ordered a couple seafood cob salads and I ordered the lobster roll. If a restaurant has a lobster roll on the menu, I'm ordering it. We paid $25 for it ("Lobster – Tarragon Dill Aioli – Toasted New England Roll" is how it is described on the menu), and now it has been jacked up to $36 with the new menu launched today. I just looked it up online to make sure I had the description correct. The lobster roll I received is pictured. Tiny shreds of lobster in mayo, herb, and celery soup with the tiniest pile of fries. All three of us were totally shocked.
The online menu says "NEW" next to the lobster roll but I promise you it's not. Well maybe I hope they do it differently now? My dad is the type to never send anything back to the kitchen but even he said I had to send it back. Seriously - anybody that has ever had a lobster roll would be upset receiving what I did (picture).
Like I said, the bartender was super nice about it and took it off our bill. The blackened shrimp tacos (3 corn tacos with 2 shrimp each - mountains of pico, no pickled onion, barely any cheese) were ok? I was so hungry at that point I wasn't sending those back too.
For Spring Break season, I was also surprised that there was only 1 bartender working. He was totally slammed and couldn't keep up. Again, nothing against him. He was so nice and keeping his cool.
I don't know. I really don't get the high reviews for this place. Mid at best and I definitely wouldn't go back. So many other places with great food. Now that I've written the review I don't even want to give them the three stars I did!
EDIT: Ok so I just found photos that other people posted with the lobster rolls they got. LOL - I'm really surprised they sent out what they served me. Yikes. Scraping the liquid-y bottom of the container for my...

Read moreIt makes me sad writing this review because this is one of our favorite places! Our Server name was LEXY. We ordered nachos with no beans (for the kids) and coconut shrimp as an appetizer. Our shrimp came out but no nachos. When we finally got our servers attention she said she'd check but just walked around to every table. 10 minutes goes by still no word. The table that sat down behind us way after we ordered got backhoe before us. We grabbed another server and she brought them out right away only for them to have beans all over them. She said to keep them for the kids to munch on the bottom ones and she will remake it. Our server came over 10 minutes later and asked if we wanted them remade. We told her the other server put them in and she said no I have to do it so we said yes if it won't take away from our food. She then came back and said she wasn't going to charge us for 2 nachos only one. This is Crazy considering not only they were wrong but it's been almost an hour now. I went and grabbed the manager and started to explain.. he cut me off and said i don't need to hear it i'll take care of the nachos. We are eating our food and the manager came up to our table and said "so I heard the nachos were wrong , you ate them, and are now trying to get them for free" ARE YOU KIDDING????? Not only that over server NEVER ONCE ever came to our table. Not even after she messed up our order. We aren't ones to complain but this is simple customer service. For the manager to say that and burp mid sentence is Beyond...
