Karen was our "Barista" for two simple drinks - a Venti flat white and an iced latte. Working by herself, the wait was over ten minutes although only one customer ordering two drinks was in front of us. When I asked whether she had help, Karen stated yes. I'm not sure where this "help" was as I saw no one during my entire stay.
On my way out of this Target based Starbucks, my wife pointed toward the food display stating "look they're bugs flying around in there." I quickly looked inside the display and saw several Gnats flying around inside landing on the bread, sandwiches, and cake type items. I mentioned this to Karen and she simply blew me off.
Overall bad experience to this Starbucks location. Certainly the worst of three locations in Vero Beach, Florida. Following this particular visit, I tweeted photos of the store and food display to both Target and Starbucks. Neither social media interaction was acknowledged.
I will never visit Karen and this particular Starbucks again.

Luckily any time I've had a horrible visit I don't see those employees there ever again, so at least they are on top of it when they get bad workers. If I understood correctly from one of the employees, they are technically Target employees and not Starbucks, and that plays somewhat of a role with the issues they have from time to time. I don't know if that was factual or just a manager explaining away a problem employee though. Anyway, the only consistency is that there isn't any when it comes to employees... Once you get past the lack of courtesy or slow service (IF you get unlucky, sometimes they are fine), the product is nearly always fine, only once have I gotten a genuinely awful drink. She had an attitude and was very rude not just to me but other costumers. She was rude and wanted to give us what it was easier for her not what we wanted. What upset me the most was that behind me there was a young girl trying for order an ice coffee and she told her that she did not have Ice coffee only cold brew. The poor girl was so confused and in a rude way Melanie told her no ice coffee. The girl confused decided to walk out.
