The Florida Cracker Cafe in St. Augustine is an absolute delight! Nestled right on St. George Street, this charming spot offers a perfect blend of great food, a fun atmosphere, and exceptional service that makes you feel right at home.

From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed by a warm and inviting ambiance that captures the essence of Florida. The decor is quirky and fun, reflecting the laid-back, rustic charm of the Sunshine State. Whether you're sitting inside or enjoying the outdoor patio, the vibe is relaxed and enjoyable.

The menu is fantastic, offering a variety of delicious options that showcase the best of Southern cuisine. The fried green tomatoes and shrimp and grits are absolute standouts – cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. Their seafood dishes are fresh and expertly prepared, making every bite a delight.

Life Pro Tip: If you're looking for a lively and engaging dining experience, take a seat at the bar. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and truly make the experience special. They go above and beyond to ensure you have a great time, offering recommendations and sharing their love for the food and the area.

The Florida Cracker Cafe is not just about great food; it's about the whole experience. The fun atmosphere, the fantastic staff, and the delicious food all come together to create a memorable dining experience. Whether you're a local or just visiting St. Augustine, this is a spot you don't want to miss....

I came to St. Augustine, today, for the first time and couldn’t help but want to try a place called The Florida Cracker Cafe. The name, itself, caught my attention. Unfortunately, neither the service nor food were very good, especially when you consider the price.

I ordered a plain hamburger as I’m not a big fan of gator (which they have plenty of) and not big on seafood. The waitress asked all the right questions but unfortunately, I was served a hamburger that would make a hockey puck proud. The burned patty tasted like it was frozen prior to cooking as did the French fries. I’ll confess that the kettle chips were very good, however.

The cafe was not very busy for a national holiday but seemed very disorganized. It took a really long time to get seated and we finally settled for sitting at the bar. After finally getting an order in, it took forever to get the food as well. Two of the three cooks in the kitchen were not wearing any type of device to prevent hair from getting in the food (ha I worked in the restaurant business before, this is a bit unsettling). This restaurant...

The atmosphere was nice outside offering live music on the patio. The service was fast and friendly but some things could have been better. The food was where the problem came in for us. We decided to just order apps as we looked over the menu. We ended up with a large portion of peel and eat shrimp. They were fresh and large but lacked seasoning of any sort. The cocktail sauce didn't really help, also lacking flavor. The worse choice of the day was the fried gator tail. Mostly spicy over seasoned breading with little actual taste of gator meat coming through. Thinking cheap distributor based quick fry option. At the end of it, we ordered 2 apps, 1 beer and 1 sweet tea (which was delivered unsweet) the total was just under 50 bucks. We left and went somewhere else to actually get a good meal.

If you are looking for real good quality meal rather than quick serve style, I would say skip it.

Sorry to be harsh, but it is my honest opinion. The quality of food wasn't good but they didn't do anything to wrong. Staff and service good. Again, bad...

Located right on St George Street. Enjoyed dining here. Casual fun atmosphere. Staff is friendly, efficient and treats you like family. The camaraderie shows and is fun to watch. Started with delicious Conch Fritters and wine. My partner enjoyed her fried fish sandwich. My grilled Mahi sandwich was the best fish sandwich I’ve ever had. It was cooked perfectly. Went 7PM on a Friday night and enjoyed sipping our wine and beer and food while listening to a live singer. Very pleasurable as we could still enjoy conversation while the singer played in the background. We sat inside but there’s outside tables under a tiki style roof closer to the singer. Outdoors is pet friendly and one couple even brought their well behaved dog. Next door is a homemade candy shop- threw in a photo of that also. 😊 Overall, this was a warm, friendly fun experience with delicious food. I will be back!

Five Stars for Stephanie!! Best food I have had in a long time. I've lived in Orlando and you cannot get anything close to fresh seafood. So coming here today was light and fresh seafood for the 1st time in your entire life. I order the fried Shrimp plate. French fries are perfect, with that perfectly crisp crunch outside and moist sweet center. Shrimp is perfect, with a fresh flavor! However that being said, Their strength would be so much better if they get a better batter their batter is their weakness. Coleslaw pleasently sweet, and crisp. Absolutely will give this place five stars If they get a better breading for their stuff it will be so much better. I gave it 5 stars because it's hard to find a restaurant in this area anymore because it's been taken over by foreigners. I love American Culture and food
