Normally it is a rather pleasant experience. I eat here at least once a week and get the same thing everytime. To start this experience off I should have known something was going to be up when I placed my frequent weekly Togo order and the price had went up. Nevertheless I still said ok and went ahead with the order. Being that I close at my job on the day I order my sister stops on her way home from work due to being in the area and gets it for me and drops it off. With this visit however once my food got to me it was not the correct ordered I placed and the young lady that I spoke with repeated AT ALL. I got chicken hibachi with no onions, zucchini, and mushrooms well done. Once I got the food and prepared myself to eat and mix in what I need to start chowing down what do I see but ONIONS which I specifically requested not to have needless to say I immediately got upset and could not eat the food. I calmed myself and then called the restaurant hoping to get some type of resolution to my problem the first person I speak with is no help in which is ok and they stated they would get me someone else. I then got on the phone with someone else explained the circumstances and the issues only for them tell me since the rice was the only thing wrong and that was the only thing they can remake due to the fact that I can't bring the food back due to the fact that I'm at work now. I stated that would be an inconvenience due to the fact my sister has already came once after work and would have to come back to get my food and take it back to the restaurant and then bring it back to me. Already inconveniencing us due to the fact that you all made it incorrectly. And I even offered to take a picture and/or a video of the food and me throwing it in the garbage due to the fact that that's all they were going to do. And don't get me wrong I understand that you all have been having people probably call and make false claims but I am not one of them and am a returning frequent customer on top of being in management myself therefore I expected much different than what was received. She still had an attitude like it was our fault that they made the food wrong. When I say don't have to worry about my patronage anymore. After all the good time and experiences I will not visit this...
Read moreI'm back again! I met my friends for a birthday dinner last night at the new location. There were 7 of us. (Restaurant looks amazing btw) Anyways, we are seated, drinks and orders are taken, everything is good. I ordered an appetizer and a side of fried rice, the beef negimaki to be specific. Nothing else. (I also understand that the restaurant was busy, I expected to wait for the appetizer) My friends all order hibachi and sushi. The chef comes out a bit later and starts their order. The sushi makes it to the table, no appetizer yet. I continue to wait, chef is cooking the fried rice. Cooks and plates the rice and begins on the meats. Still no appetizer. We stop the waitress and ask her, she said that it would probably be another 10 mins. Fine, I wait 10+ mins, the chef finishes everyone's orders and leaves. We ask again. Another 10 mins until its ready. My friends eat, finish eating, and are ready to pay, but still no appetizer. The waitress passes out tickets and I again inquire about my order. I am told another 3 mins. I wait that time and I finally ask for it ti be removed from my ticket. The manager comes. I tell her what's happened, she blames the waitress by saying she never put the order in (she did). She then assumes I'm just trying to get free food and just not pay my ticket. She said, "for future reference we wouldn't do this" meaning give a food item away for free that I've been waiting over an hour and a half for. I'm not coming in for free food, and especially am not trying to make a scene over a $10 dollar appetizer dish that I never got! Can the manager please learn how to manage? I don't appreciate the assumption that I would come in just to get free food. And it was not the waitresses fault! No integrity, and no concern for the people working on her team to just throw that waitress under the bus like that! The manager had an attitude before she even made it to the table to talk to me. Also, they check on that order before we left and it still wasn't ready..a simple appetizer and poor management skills ruined celebrating a...
Read moreI HATE to write this review but feel it is absolutely necessary. I chose the word hate because I believe the old saying, "You can't hate what you haven't once loved." Yeah, it's long. That's because Osaka has a LOT of problems that need discussion. Hoping the owners decide to fix them instead of continuing to ignore the issues pushing customers away from their establishment! This WAS my favorite sushi/hibachi restaurant. I've eaten here almost weekly & have been recommending it to friends & family for years. SADLY things have changed drastically in the past 3 months. Given them several chances hoping it was just a one time bad experience but it's been half a dozen times now. Tonight was my last visit. The sushi is NOTHING like it used to be!!!!!!! It's like they don't even have a real sushi chef anymore! Quality & quantity of seafood ingredients has been greatly reduced in the rolls while prices have increased. Everything tastes old & bland. Rolls aren't rolled properly & the bites just fall apart when you pick them up. There is NO artistry in the presentation. Rolls that should have roe, don't. Rolls that should have sauce, don't. Rolls that should have crunchy, don't. Guess what my "soft shell crab roll" didnt have in 6 out of 8 pieces. Only ONE TINY CLAW CUT IN HALF & stuck upright in the two end pieces like a garnish. Asked for management & was told, "She's not here tonight." Do they only have one now? Our last hibachi dinner (3 weeks ago) was horrible! Seafood for the entire table was terribly overcooked, dry & tough. Lobster, scallops & shrimp aren't cheap choices to be served ruined. Noone was served veggies until we had all finished eating. He pushed the veggies to the side & complety forgot about them until he started to clean the grill. I REPEATEDLY asked for my food to be taken off the grill. The cook just ignored me. He acted impaired (drunk or high?). He couldn't even stack the onions for the volcano. He didnt interact with the children at the table. No "show" at all. This is NOT how it's...
