FYI: New Thai restaurant alert! Now open, Thai Zapp Restaurant in Flowood, MS.
We ordered some of our usual dishes when getting Thai food. Beef Pad Thai, Combination Pad See Ew, Basil shrimp fried rice, Thai Tea. We also tried their Thai Zapp large seafood soup, and BBQ chicken and rice. This Pad Thai is the best I've had in a very long time! 10/10!! The Thai Zapp soup reminded me of Tom Kha, if you like Tom Yum, Tom Kha just has a more mild in sour, slightly sweeter and has coconut milk that adds a hint of creaminess to it. The man doesn't really like soup, but this was his favorite dish. That chicken on the bbq plate was so tender and juicy, texture almost reminds me of Hainanese chicken rice. Thai Tea here is a must also!!
We got here at 8pm, the wait time to be seated and food wasn't long at all. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and service, our server was very attentive and friendly. Place is clean, good amount of seats too. They're located in the same lot as Amerigos and Massage Envy. This place is locally owned by operated by the same folks that you love at Thai Time in Jackson, MS. Included a menu for yall.
If you're new to Thai food, a good starter dish is definitely Chicken Satay, Pad Thai, and Pad Kee Mao or Pad See Ew. Fyi, they also...
Read moreI work in the area and often eat at this restaurant due to the convenience and great food! I have been a patron since its opening, but recently they've gotten some new faces that just are not friendly. Surely customer service should be a priority, but I am often met with opposition when asking for things that should be included in my takeout order such as forks, spoons, or napkins. I asked to speak to a manager and the young lady just laughed at me. I told her I will be back tomorrow until I have filed a solid complaint especially because I eat at this restaurant about 2-3 times a week on average. There are so many places in this shopping center to dine at such as Chipotle, Amerigo, or Five Guys and unfortunately Thai Zapp will not be getting anymore...
Read moreOk, this new place has amazing food. I had Thai Zapp's ramen. It was delicious, noodles being my favorite. It was ramen soup and curry hooked up and this dish was created. I love spicy soup so I highly recommend trying their top shelf chili oil. Makes everything spicy with lots of flavor. I also tried the Shrimp Summer roll, this is a go to when we eat Thai, but that peanut sauce though. The best one I've had in MS. My daughter got gyoza and that was very tasty. Her entree was Chicken Katsudon over rice. This was a very tasty dish as well especially if you like rice. Five stars for our first visit. 01/31/24- Second visit, took some friends this time. Food was still amazing. This time I got another soup and added noodles because I...
