The Juicy Seafood — Restaurant in Flowood

Absolutely delicious! 😋

My husband & I came here on 2.17.24 for our Valentine's Lunch. We came around 11AM, we were greeted & seated right away by the hostess.

Our waiter was also the bartender, very professional, checked on us frequently & was very attentive (which is a good thing), & the only thing I forgot to ask was his name -he is a young African American adult. Please let him know he did a marvelous job! I haven't had a waiter/waitress who was that attentive in a long time.

My husband ordered the Weekend special which is 1/2Ib Shrimp, 1/2Ib Snow Crab, Corn, Potatoes & a lobster tail in the Juicy Seafood Sauce & level of hot, Hot. I got the #3 Special which is 1Ib of Snow Crab, 1/4Ib sausage, Corn, Potato, 2 eggs & I added either 1/2 or 1Ib of headless shrimp in the Juicy Seafood Sauce level of hot, Medium. We both agreed that everything was cooked to perfection. The Shrimp were large & delicious, the egg was very delicious once soaked in the sauce & the crab, oh how I love crab & it was perfect. We also ordered the fried pickles which were delicious - the only downside to the fried pickles is I wish they offered a homemade ranch. However that's just a preference & is not included in this rating.

For two specials, an additional meat, an appetizer & two sodas we spent around $100 & left a 30% tip. We will definitely be back in the future! 😁🙂

10.26.2024 Still super good!! My Husband and I got the same thing as we did back in Feb. flavours are on point!! We did get an additional appetizer the Calamari which were okay - the Thai Sauce made them better. The Calamari is not something I would get again here. The pickles came with what looked like a homemade ranch or at least ranch in a premade container & not premade store bought. Previously back in Feb. I mentioned it would be better if it was a homemade ranch.

Our waitress was phenomenal!! Girl deserves a raise! I wish I had gotten her name, I meant to look on our ticket. She was short (I'm 5'9) & white Caucasian female with black hair - possibly glasses. Bad experience at this establishment. Me and my 2 friends went about 9pm to The Juicy Crab in Flowood on tonight. We were greeted and sat down immediately as there were no other guest. We ordered drinks and food. When my Blue Long Island came I instantly asked my friends to try it and it taste like dawn soap. So I sent it back. Then comes our food. It came in 15 minutes so we were concerned it was rushed. As we confirmed it was rushed. We ordered the #1 which included crab legs, shrimp, mussels, sausage and corn. This bag tasted fishy as if the food was not washed off. The seasoning was greasy and the taste was bland. We asked for a manager they sent Angela Ridgeway. She came to our table and told us we could pay half. I advised her we wasn’t paying for any of it because we had only attempt to eat it. Food was 98% still in the bag as my friends only ate a couple of shrimp and me a couple of crab legs. She then proceeded to say she hopes we don’t come back and that they made 30k today anyway. I said we won’t because as this being my first experience it wasn’t a good one, I told her I would be writing a review. She stated if you do a review you get a free pound of shrimp trying to be funny mocking our decision. As we approached the desk to pay for our drinks I asked my friend if she had a name tag on she blurted out her name Angela Ridgeway Martin or something to that effect. She then told me she probably makes more than me so I asked her to let’s go bank account to bank account all of this in front of 4 teenagers. I know those teenagers parents would not agree with this incompetent, angry, unprofessional example of a manager being the one who’s teaching them their customer service skills. My family and I visited Juicy Seafood as part of my daughter’s birthday celebration. I’m not a big seafood fan, so I ordered the chicken tender basket unaware that the seafood and chicken are fried in the same oil. Once I tasted the food, I informed the waitress that I wouldn’t be able to eat the meal because of the seafood taste. I had eaten half a tender and let my husband taste a piece to make sure that I was tasting the seafood. He assured me that the chicken did taste fishy. I then asked our waitress if I could get the meal removed from my ticket because I wouldn’t be able to eat the tenders due to the chicken being fried in the same oil as the seafood.

Our waitress went to ask the manager about removing the meal, and she told me that she would only take half off. I asked the waitress could I speak to the manager, and eventually the manager came to talk to me. I asked her about removing the item from the ticket and the manager, Yasmine, said that I had eaten most of the meal. How did one half eaten fishy chicken tender turn into a whole meal? She then insulted me by saying she could charge the price of a kid’s meal. The adult meal and kid’s meal are only $2 in difference.
