Burgers Blues Barbecue - Flowood — Restaurant in Flowood

My first experience here will also be my last one. First, when entering this business, there is no direction on what to do. Nothing that tells you to seat yourself, wait to be seated, or whatever (you seat yourself if dining inside). Secondly, once inside, there is no direction on where to go to place your order and no one to help you figure that out. Once I did place my order to which was a club wrap with BBQ beans for almost $16, I was told it would be about ten minutes. I asked where do I wait and the kid had no clue and said sit anywhere. After 20 minutes of no food, no updates, nothing, I went to check on it. Come to find out, it had been sitting ready for god only knows how long because the staff didn't. The staff which are all high school age looking kids were too busy talking to each other to do their job so they had no clue my food had just been dying in the window! As for the food, sadly the BBQ beans were the best part, the club wrap was meh and would not recommend. Food was also mildly warm when I got home, so tells me it had been ready probably at least ten minutes or more.

All in all, for my first experience, this was horrible. Staff needs to do their job, needs more training or something. Restaurant needs better direction of what to do once inside and food is meh.

For the money and time, I would recommend...

Service was terrible! I had to go ask for my silverware, then go looking on my own for salt & pepper & go back to ask for ketchup & mustard that I asked for when I ordered originally. Sat at the bar on a Saturday afternoon (I was by myself & didn’t need a whole booth) there was no bartender in sight, which is why I had to keep going around looking for things on my own. I ordered a Black & Blue burger with tomato & lettuce. The tomato was the tiniest part of a Roma tomato evidently (practically no tomato), the lettuce was floppy with a big brown spot on it. The ketchup was like water, very runny. I will never go back to this location. Their original location was so much better quality & the atmosphere was great there but this one was just BAD all the way around! If the service & food quality was better, they might could justify the high price...

Red beans and rice was sweet, like with added sugar (what/who's receipe is that?). Inedible. The bowl burger over salad was made with refrigerated meat. Manager said that is how it's done. "It's a salad." Mine was good see pic below. Other hamburgers were satisfactory. No one was thrilled or wowed at the service. I had to ask for silverware for my blue plate special. Order taker was rude to me when asking, like I was interrupting her. Bad attitude employee. Food took too long to process. Lunchtime was steady, so they wouldn't be able to handle busy. Won't be coming back.

I have a standard of not posting anything but 5 star reviews, but my appeal to management got rebuffed. So, they got what they deserved, a bad review, no tip, and a loss of future business.
