I am not a huge poster, and only do this when something really steps over the line from a really good experience to a truly great experience. There is a lot of good to great moves with Riley's taking over Hacienda, but my focus will be on Chef David's elevation of the food experience at Riley's. Chef David has added a burger, the Campagna Waygu burger, that quite literally could be the best burger in the Greater Sacramento area. Don't think it is only about this burger, all their food has been significantly elevated with Chef David at the helm in the kitchen. However, the Campagna is a masterpiece, with a near perfect compostion with the bun, patty, fixings, and sauces exquisitely paired in perfect proportion. This compostion leads to a flavor experience the blows the doors off any other "sit-down" establishment burger. The use of crispy prosciutto in lieu of bacon provides a salty, fatty, crunch astutely complimenting the melty, butteryness of the marscapone-gorgonzola cheese with a fig jam that rounds out the complex flavors with a perfect pinch of sweetness. Add in Chef David wonderfully seasoned Waygu patty that he and his team cook to a perfect medium temp, and this burger will head straight to the top of your burger list too. Thanks Kim and David for another awesome experience last night, and we will see the Riley's crew again soon!

Ps. The fried bologne sandwich is also one that holds a special place...

My friend & I were visiting the area. After some nice downtown shopping, we stopped here for lunch. The patio dining area was really nice, comfy wood stools, fans & heaters, depending on need. This day, the fans were great. I ordered a hard cider, they were out, so the smart server suggested a mimosa. It was served in a pint glass 👍🏻 I ordered the steak sandwich which was honestly one of the best I've ever had! I was also over the moon to learn they offer gluten-free buns, a biggie fir someone like me who is gluten-free, not by choice. The sandwich had a horseradish sauce on it that I think made the whole thing - SO good! My friend had the seared tuna salad & said it was very good. Just about everything was perfect save for one detail, our server never did a check-back visit. Not once. As an industry professional, to me, this is literally the #1 most important step of a dining experience. We did noticed that she looked over & yes, if there was an issue we could have flagged her down.. but really not the point. It's so important to check in with diners & make sure everything is good. Her tip would have been larger if she'd just done that one...

This is an exciting new restaurant for Sutter Street. Great food, great service, and fun concepts throughout. We called and were quoted a 30 min wait for 5 people around 6pm but luckily you can put your name in over phone.

Our server Jonathan P helped us get our drinks in at 6:35 and they arrived at the table 12 minutes later.

Frozen margarita 4/5 La Fresca mule 3/5 (missing strawberry) Raspberry Sherbarita 4/5

Food took just 20 minutes to arrive after ordering. We tried a bunch of things so you don’t have to!

Poke tacos BEST EVER! 5/5 Fried chicken and waffle bites 3/5 (spices were eh and waffle was softer than expected) Barria tacos 5/5 Riley burger 4/5 (great bun and seasoning) Totchos 5/5, Fried chicken sandwich 4.5/5

Mules rang in at $13 though they said $10 online for happy hour and our server fixed the issue promptly.

$139 for 5 people for an average of $28 per person during happy hour before tip. We did order a fair amount of food and drinks tho! Would definitely come back, this is a wonderful place for bar-like get togethers.

Ordered the Wagyu Burger with Fig Jam and Crispy Prosciutto. Wife had the 2 Quesabirria Tacos. We split the Basket of Tater Tots. The burger was one of the best I've ever had in my life...so juicy... perfectly cooked, cheese dripped right off the burger...jam had a burst of flavor and prosciutto was so crispy like thin pieces of bacon. My wife tried my burger and she loved it as well. Her order however the Birria Tacos was anything but good. We have had our fair share of Quesabirria Tacos, but these were not good. Soggy, no crispyness whatsoever, couldn't even hold the taco right...just kept falling apart in the hands, semi bland meat, consomme was too thick, needs to be like a broth, chips that it came with were alright. Overall a 4 out of 10 for the Quesabirria, but a 20 out of 10 for the Burger...and that's the only reason I took 1 star off. Will come back just for the burger...forget about the tacos though...there's better options.

This was our second time here and it did not disappoint. The first time we came with family visiting from So. Cal. It was a Friday night and it was hopping. The food was tasty and plentiful. I noticed others getting the burger which looked great, so I knew we'd come back for it. We came back a month later, missing the lunch rush, and it was peaceful out on the patio. The Riley burger was worth it, and they donate $1 to a local animal shelter for every Riley burger order. Comes with shredded lettuce, just the way I like it. Wife had prime rib cheesesteak. Yum. Fries and tater tots hot and flavorful. This place is legit ans we'll be regulars.
