My first time here and sad to say, I do not plan on returning back. When you 1st walk in, it has the " hole in the wall" vibe. No one was there when i arrived. After I had ordered my food and was seated, I noticed there were lots of flies flying around inside the restaurant. The Tom kha soup and expensive pad thai were just ok. Green curry w/beef- beef was very hard, curry was very oily. Crispy Spring rolls were the best thing I ate there. It was simply mediocre and placed on top of a lot of sweet and sour sauce. Sauce should be on the side. One woman show and service was ok. Unfortunately, I will not be back.

I visited Nit's Cafe in October with a friend and was unfortunately very disappointed with the experience. I had the Red Chicken Curry and Crispy Spring Rolls and the presentation was definitely lacking. The Spring Rolls came sitting in sweet chilli sauce, not separate. The portion size for the curry was pretty small and it was also not warm. The team did reheat it for me and added some additional rice but I was still very surprised given the price. Maybe I just got unlucky, my friend enjoyed her Pad Thai, but I was pretty sad about our choice of dinner locations that evening.

The worst. Attempted to eat here last night. The reviews made it look amazing. So many red flags from the start. The soup had a worm in it. The pad Thai was a burned up glob of stuck together noodles with literally one carrot in it. No other veggies. The chicken satay with peanut sauce was three chicken breast pieces placed on a plate of microwaved until it burnt peanut sauce. The menus are sticky and dirty. The water glasses are not clean. The owner reeked of alcohol and the food was inedible. We left and went next door to Taka’s.

We walked in about 2:30 in the afternoon. It looked closed, but said "Open" in the window, and while we were looking, the owner came out and invited us in. She was the hostess, cook and waitress! As we sat there, we wondered if we had made a mistake coming there, since the restaurant was empty except for us. (Afterwards we knew it was because it was mid afternoon - WAY past lunch hours!) The food on the handwritten menu sounded good, but it seemed a little "fly by night." We were a little hesitant, so while waiting, my husband looked the restaurant up for online reviews. They were good, so we decided to stay. SO GLAD WE DID! The food was most excellent! I had the Thai red curry with chicken. It was the best I've ever tasted, and I've tasted a lot! (Thai food is my absolute favorite). My husband ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp and chicken. It was also delicious! The servings were huge, and we ate the rest the next evening. Again, we were amazed at how complex the flavors were - amazingly delicious! Don't let the atmosphere (bare bones) fool you here. It is well worth it. I don't know how this 1 woman show does it all, but she EXCELS at it! Later, when we mentioned Nit's Café to our B&B owners, they said yes, that she is a top trained chef who used to work at 2 fancy restaurants in Mendocino before she went out on her own. My husband and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND eating at Nit's Café. We will definitely be back on our next adventure to...

This was truly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. Right from the beginning, the lady wouldn’t take our order. Two different people came in after us and she took their orders first. And when I tried to flag her down to order, she would ignore me and walk away. When I finally managed to stop her, she literally walked away without saying anything while I was in the middle of ordering - literally mid-sentence.

After finally being able to order, she got 3 out of the 5 dishes we ordered wrong. This was AFTER she came back to take our order a second time because she lost the paper she used to take our order the first time.

The food itself was also not great. One of our shrimp dishes had very undercooked shrimp that looked very raw.

And another weird thing was that some guy walked in and just started helping out. We asked if he worked there and he wouldn’t give us a straight answer. It seemed like he knew the service was terrible and was just taking it upon himself to help out.

And the cherry on top was when it was time to pay, she charged us more than DOUBLE for what we actually ordered. We had to take out a calculator and show her how to add up all the meal prices. She charged us $234 before we corrected her that it was actually $100.

Overall, truly an outrageous experience. Would never go back, and would never recommend this place to anybody. I would give it zero...

I don’t know how this place has so many 5 star reviews (unless they’re fake). I would rank this as mediocre food at best in general and, if you’re calling it Thai food then the worst Thai food I’ve ever had.

The one person running the cafe (cook, waiter, everything) was kind to us when we entered. We ordered two soups and two curries between three people (my friends were going to split one curry). When the food arrived, we thought she had split the second curry for the friends as it looked like half portions. When the bill came, she charged us for three curries. May have been an honest mistake, but other reviews said she had overcharged them as well. The language barrier made it difficult to explain what had happened, especially since we were not given an itemized bill.

The food was mediocre with lack of flavor, except salt. Typical broccoli/carrot/tofu mixture for the vegetarian dish but very skimpy on how many vegetables provided (also c’mon vegetarians eat a lot more vegetables than carrots and broccoli!!). I’m lactose-intolerant and I’m pretty sure the curry had heavy cream given how awful I’ve felt since eating it. Dairy was not listed as an ingredient for the curries and did not expect any as milk is not an ingredient I’ve ever seen in Thai curries.

Overpriced, especially if you get overcharged. I will not...
