I came in around closing time and asked for the brown butter cookie dough.
It was a revamp/ style variation of the classic cookie dough we know and love.
I asked for a mini which I was told would be one scoop/ one flavor. Great.
I was told the brown butter cookie dough is too low in supply to pick as my flavor. I see the tin and it's very bare.
I was offered to put the remainder on top of the scoop I agreed to purchase.
I think "score!" a freebie, at no point was I told this will be a size increase.
I go to check out and tip a dollar for the cool service.
Only to find my initial consented to $5.5/6 charge was now a $8 (9 with tax) charge.
I still tipped because I had set it up in my mind to and honestly the whole process disoriented me due to feeling like a wanker who comes in at closing hours.
There was a half an hour left before close but they close the doors after my friend and I left.
What was the point of the upcharge when I specifically said I wanted a mini.
I'm on a budget as everyone is nowadays. Just trying to have a nice Wednesday, don't like to be mislead or have my order changed under false pretenses.
They should've just stopped while they were ahead and continued on with the honest communication which was that there wasn't enough I'd just have to pick a different flavor.
Why get my hopes up to have the flavor, only to find I was actually paying two flavors.
Also a half ass scoop at that, the tin was nearly bone dry empty.
Nothing life ending, but notably bad service. I was rushed out the door and overcharged.
I hate to make bad reviews but it really hurt my feelings...
Read moreThis Häagen-Dazs has phenomenal customer service as well as great smoothies. The staff is very polite, and works fast yet efficiently to handle the large crowds that gather in this shop from hotel guests and beach goers like myself.
Recently while attending this Häagen-Dazs, I left my wallet on the counter while reaching over the glass counter top for a large order of 5 smoothies. Well, I walked out and didn’t notice I left my wallet behind. By the time I noticed my wallet was missing, I was no longer in Fort Lauderdale. Instead I was back in Chicago, IL from where I was visiting. Well, I called the shop to see if my wallet was perhaps there, and it was. I spoke with staff and eventually the owner (Dino) to see what my options were to get it sent back to me and who as well as how much I could pay for their time and troubles.
Well, the owner Dino informed me that wouldn’t be necessary (any payment) and wanted to mail me my wallet along with all its contents back to me. All I can say is that I am extremely grateful for Dino and his staff. Their professionalism and trustworthiness has given me hope that their are still good people in the world.
Truly a great ice cream shop with an exceptional owner and staff. Again thank you!

I recommend signing up for the rewards program cause you get a free mini scoop without purchase. Also, when I bought $10 worth of icecream, I got like 2 dazzlers for free from the app. The workers here are super nice and helpful, especially the dude that works here (I don’t know his name but he’s chill).
