Le Marché Gourmet Market — Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale

I ordered a muffin and butter croissant and canceled the croissant because there was a flying bug in the pastries shelf just landing on the pastries. I wanted to get ice cream and there was a dead fly (not bug, A FLY with the green head/body) on the salted caramel ice cream. I alerted 3 different staff members about this and it was only the 3rd one that actually did something about it (I alerted them discreetly too as a courtesy) Not only did they serve customers while the fly was still dead in the ice cream tray, (on the ice cream, not on the side of the tray. ON THE ACTUAL ICE CREAM) they also served the same salted caramel that had the fly without changing it out or anything. (I'm grossed out just writing this out)

The worst thing about this is that they are the restaurant that Hilton Beach Resort guests get their room service from.

This was absolutely disgusting.

I have receipts from the day I speak of, so these aren't "false claims" June 12 around...

What a wonderful experience we had with Melissa as our server. My fiancé and I had taken a 5 day vacation and it was night 3. For our previous meals, we ate in the Fort Lauderdale area at highly recommended places and were not impressed. We decided to settle in at the hotel and have a low-key dinner locally. To our surprise, we both agreed this was the highlight of our vacation. Being in the customer service industries, we both recognize outstanding service and Melissa was top notch. We sat on the patio and enjoyed our beach front dinner, and an amazing dessert too! The manager stopped by to check in, and Melissa offered to take many photos of us throughout our evening. It was so enjoyable, we decided for our last night on vacation we are going back tonight. We will never forget this...

Rude customer service, very slow. Even though there are two registers they only seem to use one. Breakfast rush doesn't phase them as they work with no urgency. This restaurant seems mismanaged. Gelato selection is limited and doesn't seem to be replaced. Not what I'd expect from a Hilton restaurant, especially when there are only two here affiliated with the hotel....
