Ugly's Waterside Bar — Restaurant in Fort Myers Beach

I used to like this bar until my sister in law just realized she forgot her wallet, which had $80 in it, upstairs at a table outside in the very corner. We went back to the restaurant to get it back and the hostess downstairs said they were closed upstairs but she gave us the wallet that "somebody" had turned it. The $80 was gone. We asked who turned it in and she said she didn't know, didn't "remember" what they looked like, and that the people just walked in to use the bathroom and walked out. 1. The wallet wasn't in the bathroom. 2. She didn't "remember" what the people looked like and stuttered when we asked her. I started to turn around to go back inside but my mother and sister in law stopped me. So instead, I'll just let everyone know that the staff there is full of snakes and shady people and if you do decide to go there, hold onto your cash and belongings with a death grip. Never going there...

Had dinner there today with 6 of our friends:. Have eaten there periodically for the last 4 years... Found out that there are new owners and basically all of the food contains MSG. Charlie, our waiter and Scott, the chef both talked to us and explained the situation. They went out of their way to accommodate us, but my wife could only have a burger and a salad. Too bad that they are using second rate vendors because we didn't have this problem last year... When will restaurant owners realize that even Jamaicans consider...

The food was excellent and the wait staff is excellent but there is not enough wait staff. Every visit it is obvious and even stated by the staff that they are short handed. Great view great menu selections so go ahead and back it up with some employees. I know it is expensive but if I am in a hurry I do not go there because of the wait time.
