This was our first but definitely won't be our last! Angel was our server and we couldn't have asked for a better one! It was our 23rd anniversary dinner and thought why not try somewhere new? So, so glad that we did!! They had a special for 4 oz. Maple wood smoked bacon so we gave it a try on our salad. It was awesome and large, I took half of it home. The ribeye was better than good. I have never had a ribeye all but melt in my mouth until this meal, no really it does. They can char your steak on the outside, if desired, we tried it and weren't disappointed. Perfect medium rare on the inside and a nice sear with a little crunch on the outside. If you enjoy texture give it a try. With my steak I had the largest baked potato on earth and the infamous glazed carrot which deserves it's own accolades. Additionally they offered us either a complimentary champagne toast or dessert for our special occasion, we chose dessert, a delicious four layer carrot cake. We took it home as I couldn't eat my steak much less cake! Lol! What you see in the picture is the part of my dinner I brought home. Just the bacon from the blue cheese salad, lettuce is OK left over but... Overall a wonderful experience from the service, food, drink, a table visit from the GM Jordan Dickey to welcome us as first timers and congratulate us on our anniversary. Then to top it off a cute little touch with a staff signed "Happy Anniversary' card at the end. What shocked us the most is that Bob's is by no means inexpensive it was less expensive than Silver Fox which has always been our go to for special occasions. I think we may have a new choice for those special occasions going forward. Worth the 5 star review all around!!

First time going to Bobs, and I’ll be the first to admit this review sounds unfair but hear me out.

I was told it was Texas sized flavor. And for the price of the food I’d certainly say I expected that.

Usually I’m a Ruth’s Chris kind of guy, but was convinced by others that Bobs was the next level.

First and foremost, the valet service was sloppy and cold. I didn’t not leave my vehicle thinking it was going to be well taken care of.

The appetizers were probably the best part. The ahi was over seasoned but still good if you knocked some of the extras off. And the Lobster Bisque was more bisque than lobster, but it was super fairly priced. And honestly, their drinks were great.

But the steaks - the pièce de résistance. I got what was told to be their best steak. A tomahawk for $175. My fiancé got their prime filet with lobster. We shared a side of lobster Mac n Cheese.

The Mac n cheese was inedible. The lobster was overcooked and rubbery, and the Mac itself tasted incredibly under-seasoned with unauthentic cheese. For a $50 side I expected a whole lot better. My fiancés steak was unnecessarily tough, flavorless, and frankly not worth the $99 charged. The lobster tail it came with, while certainly better than the Mac n cheese’s, was still overcooked and unsalable by the provided butter.

Now my tomahawk: it was… fine… it wasn’t bad, but it certainly wasn’t $175 good. For the same price I could get a truffle tomahawk steak from Nobu that absolutely BLASTS this one out of the water without any competition. I was expecting something mouth watering, savory beyond compare, and a justification for what was otherwise a very lackluster meal (I mean we DID order seafood items at a steak house). But it was… ok. It wasn’t bad perfectly cooked and had no flavor to it whatsoever.

However, the service was great. We were very well cared for. The service was as prompt as it could be for how busy they were, and and our server was incredibly helpful and a major plus to the overall experience. Lastly, after mentioning to our waitress that we did not care for the lobster Mac, she promptly removed it from our bill without any further questions.

The atmosphere was obviously cowboy focused. Same as anywhere else in Fort Worth.

Overall aside from the service absolutely nothing stood out as anything past mediocre, and frankly I do not feel like I got my ~$500 out of this experience. And I will have learned my lesson and go back to Ruth’s across the street next time. Or hell, I’ll drive to Nobu. Better food,...

We had a party of 15 on Saturday night. our reservation was for 8:15 and we did not get seated until 8:40. from the start the service was lacking.the drinks were good but took to long. We ordered appetizers that seemed to take for ever and were delivered at the same time as our salads. We had to asked multiple times politely for more bread and it was not until we were done with appetizers and salads and dinner was delivered that we received more. The main course took way to long over 40 minuets to arrive and when it was delivered not a steak was cooked right. The staff didn't seem to enthused about doing anything about it. When someone orders a 90 dollar steak and it comes out well done instead of medium you would think people would be falling over themselves to remedy the situation. mind you we are by now the only people in the restaurant since it took so long. 2 people got to eat steak since they could swap and get the right temperature but every one else more or less passed. my fillet was medium well+ and not medium rare like i asked for. In all honesty if the meat was cooked close to what was ordered we are not that picky. Someone identifying himself as the cook cam out and apologized but never tried to do anything about it. The manager came out and was arrogant and defensive. We mentioned we should not have to pay for the steaks that were wrong and she told us that company policy would not allow that and we could only get half off.. so we get half off something we didn't want? we explained to her that this was unacceptable and she called the Fort Worth Police.. We did pay with no incident but i would recommend at least 5 other places that would be much better for service and food quality.. We go out as a group often and Bob's has been getting worse and worse over the last 3 years. thanks to the manages actions or in action, we will make sure to let every one knows about our experience. Already I have talked to a few and they have similar stories. its a shame good service, management and steak are not that difficult. I could go on about the unprofessional manner in which the manager demonstrated. I personally can not believe a restaurant of this supposed caliber would rely on this type of person to be...

For years Bob's has been our go to dining experience for special occasions. We received a couple gift certificates from friends in the past year that inquired of us what our favorite restaurant was. Last night we went to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary. We had 5:30 reservations and were seated promptly. The service was great. Our waiter always seemed to be there when we needed and was friendly. We both ordered a wedge salad, which was perfectly prepared and very nice. That's about where the compliments end. I probably would have been fine with the meal, had it not been a $250 meal and if I had not previously had much better food at Bob's. My lemonade seemed to be from powder and had an artificial flavor. My ribeye was over charred, but still cooked to the temperature requested. It was the best part of the meal. It was okay. Whoever was working the vegetables for the evening, obviously had no pride in the food they were serving and it showed. We ordered a side of brussel sprouts and I paid an upcharge to have extra as my side because we have always loved the brussel sprouts there. They were dry and over charred and not pleasant. The carrot, which I recall as being one of my surprise favorites in the past, something I wish I had more of, was just a pathetic carrot. On one side there was a hint of the flavor that I remember from the past that infused the whole carrot, but this time seemed more like an afterthought of a meh carrot. Certainly not something I wanted more of. If this all sounds so petty, I'm sure it is as the experience would have been okay for $100, but disappointing at $250. We will be seeking out other places to go for a special celebration. A disappointing experience for our special...
