I've been to this new location twice. I live in this area and was so happy Panera was coming, now that it's open I'm disappointed.
Our first visit was not long after it opened. It was beautiful but the tables were dirty when we arrived later in the evening for dinner though there were plenty of workers there so things shouldn't have looked that way. Most of them weren't doing anything.
We placed our order at the kiosk though didn't need to do so because there wasn't a line it was just easier to see what was avoidable as the store was out of pork. This left many menu items unavailable which was a major bummer for my boyfriend. It just so happened that everything he wanted had pork. There wasn't an option on the kiosk to replace pork at no charge with another meat, possibly had we spoken with some one it could have worked?
My daughter ordered the half sandwich, and mac and cheese combo. Her sandwhich was not only very small but the little bit of meat on it was over cooked and curled around the edges and dry.
My boyfriends dish was ok though not what he really wanted. He noticed the silver ware was spotty and was a bit put off by that.
I got a full sized mac and cheese which I think is $$. The kicker is when I was 2/3rd in I noticed the rim of my bowl closest to me was dirty with light green grossness. I informed them of this though I felt not only stupid for seeing it so late but I was also really grossed out.
They apologized and got me a clean bowl with a full serving of mac and cheese.
Overall or first experience wasn't the greatest.
We decided we would give it another try at a later date so they could get their act together and work out any kinks.
We have yet to go back as a family but I returned 4.2.19 to buy bagels ands get their Tuesday special.
Again, I ordered and paid at the kiosk. First I was put off by the fact that at the end it gives you the option to tip. I'm face to machine and it's saying it's not expected. For freaking real? I'm placing my order on a machine and there's an option to tip?! For what? So they can do their job after they get my order? I don't even know how well they will do that job in order to base a tip!!!! Tips are based on service recieved and i haven't recieved any. Not cool.
Secondly I did the bakers dozen and had to wait a good 10-15 minutes for my 13 bagels to be cut and tossed into a box. There wasn't a line in the store, there were able bodied people milling around. Just because I don't come in at a peak time doesn't mean my time isn't valuable. I was in around 9am.
In addition my bagel order was wrong but I didn't know this until later at night since the bagels were for Wednesday morning. I didn't think such a simple thing could go wrong. I could have tipped someone and paid more for the wrong stuff. If there was a shortage on certain flavors of bagels the kiosk didn't make it known, nor did the employee filling the order.
Things to take away from this, store needs work on the cleaning, look at your dishes before you start to eat and double check your order before...
Read moreI have come to this location several times, and when I mean several it's 10-12 times a month. I'm really disappointed because they have NEVER gotten my order right. I always order the same thing. A pick 2, an apple fuji salad and a broccoli n cheddar soup. I always pay extra for avocado and an extra portion of chicken. Welp, needless to say whether I go through the drive thru, order on line or at the counter they NEVER give me my extra portion that I pd for! I have had to go back after I have left and have them fix it. Today I re confirmed with the girl that made the salad to add those 2 things. When she gave me the bag I checked and it did not look like the extra portions were added. I asked her "where is the extra chicken"? Her response was "it's in there" with a terrible attitude! Then she added, "and the extra avocado". So I left. When I got home about 10 min away and got ready to eat my food....guess what NO EXTRA CHICKEN & NO EXTRA AVACODO!!! This is every time! On top of that they are slow as molasses even when the place is empty. they have you waiting forever. The customer service is weak and the workers look like they don't want to be there. It's unfortunate that I like Panera but this location really leaves a lot to be desired. I really hope a manager or corporate headquarters reads this and does something about it. Mind you the receipt does say at the top..."Accuracy MATTERS. Your order should be correct every time. If it's not, we will fix it right away and give you a free treat for your trouble, just let an associate know". I'm letting...
Read moreI bought 50 dollars worth of food here and left my headlights on while I was inside the restaurant and my car battery died. Had jumper cables, got them all hooked up, went back inside and asked the girl behind the counter if one of the several employees could come pull their car up to mine and give me a jump. She disappeared for 60 seconds and then came back and said no. I asked why, she said none of them know how to do it. First of all, that's sad, because there were 2 or 3 grown men back in the kitchen. Second of all I told her I know how to jump a car. She said "but we're working" and there were literally two other people in the restaurant. I said "okay I'm a customer, I just bought 50 dollars worth of food" she said "sorry."
Really failed miserably at the "being human" part of customer service, which I know Panera puts big emphasis on, because I worked at the one on Collins for two years before it closed. It wouldve taken 5 minutes for someone to come help me. I had to hassle the only other customers in the store to help instead, because what else am I gonna do? For the record: those people helped immediately, and were also confused as to why one of the employees wouldn't offer.
If Panera doesnt have exemplary customer service you're just an overpriced sandwich place that I won't be going to...
