Updated October 2023: had lunch there midweek. It was busy. Lunch menu had several items all for about 10 bucks. The Quesadilla was large and came with your choice of beans lettuce and tomato. Your choice of shredded chicken or ground beef. The chicken was tasty as were the charro beans. The restaurant was clean and the service was excellent. Great food for the price.
November 2022: For the first time since their move to the new location, I visited the restaurant for breakfast. I've noticed lotsa' cars there during lunch hours also. Lunch specials are available. There is ample parking outside with front, side and rear parking. It was busy but tables were open. Employees were friendly and made regular visits to our table throughout the meal. Other employees were cleaning vacant tables. The floors were clean and free of debris. I ordered breakfast tacos ($2.50 ea) with your choice of any 2 item combination. Additional items listed at $.50 ea. See posted menu photos. Coffee was listed at $2.99 (high?) for small cups, but they were re-filled regularly. My food was tasty. Overall, I found that taste and pricing were similar to the Tequila de Jalisco's restaurant located up the street. Customer's preference here.
Been awhile since I've visited this restaurant. Did visit on a Sunday morning and found the restaurant to be crowded. The place is bigger inside than what it looks like from the outside. Parking is atrocious and can be difficult although there is a small parking lot in the back which has to be accessed by a back street. The restaurant was very clean as were the restrooms. It does have a small bar. I found the prices reasonable. I tried the taco chicken soup which was very good and very tasty. I'm told by locals that the breakfast menu is also very good and reasonable in price. I have no problem with recommending...
Read moreWent here for lunch and was horribly disappointed with the food and service. Ordered lunch fajitas and was served long skinny (like ribbon) strands of beef, tossed with onions and bell pepper. The usual rice and beans and then a giant portion of lettuce with tomatoes on top, NOT pico de gallo, just tomatoes. I asked our waitress, who was very short 3 times if this was their lunch fajitas, to which she replied, each time more agitated, yes. I asked her where the cheese and sour cream that their regular size fajitas come with and why the meat, onion and bell pepper wer cold when they advertise fajitas on a searing plate. She replied that it was a lunch fajita therefore it does not come with cheese and sour cream or on a searing plate. I pointed out that as a lunch size portion you are supposed to get everything the same as a regular size order only smaller because it is the lunch order and showed her how it was advertised in their menu. She grew more agitated at my suggestion and stated that since the lunch menu didn’t state those items came with then it didn’t come with it. I pointed out that it didn’t say it came with tortillas either but she brought those. She then proceeded to ask us if we wanted cheese and sour cream to which my husband said yes. So she brought a plate of cheese and sour cream for each of us and then charged $1.98 for each plate of sour cream and each plate of cheese. She did not return to our table to check on us at all even though she had tables all around us. In short the food was terrible and the...
Read moreHORRIBLE SERVICE!! Charged for fajita beef & didn't receive, upcharge for cheese on a taco AND we were charged for a drink that was sent back!! 1.5 hours for 3 tacos and a salad with only 3 tables occupied.
While we are locals and have been going to Campo for years we are NO longer loyal customers due to their service. We will NOT be recommending this place to anyone we encounter.
We ordered a lemon drop martini and it was not made correctly. We informed the waitress that we wanted to send it back as it was not good and not what we ordered. She took it from the table and didn't say anything.
When it came time to pay we were charged for the lemon drop!!! They gave a 25% discount and when we asked to speak to a manager about it they said no manager was there and that was all they could do. We let the cashier know that if they are going to charge for a drink that is sent back they should say something before taking the drink away from the table.
Today's service was horrible from start to finish, it took 1.5 hours for 3 tacos and a salad with only 3 other tables occupied. They charged $2 extra for cheese which was not mentioned when we ordered!! To boot when the tacos were served the cheese was not on them, we had to ask for it. We were also charged for fajita beef on the taco salad and it didn't come with it, it was only hamburger; it said fajita beef was an option on the menu (no up charge listed).Too bad that at their new location their quality has...
