Not quite sure I know how to convey that the bathroom etiquette, wait, let's use the word "attitude", from the staff because the doors were bolted like a gas station, was telling even before having to be escorted by one of them and let in with a key. All together very odd. It made sense as she switched on the light and I walked in to come face to tentacles with the largest roach I've ever seen! A moment that I had to decide just how bad I had to go...followed by, what ammo do I have in case it runs at me while I'm going, followed by my observation that it was on its back and worth waiting a little longer to make sure it would not be flipping over easily....so my test of risk vs. gain ended with the ME first mentality. I chose to play defense meanwhile cursing it, I washed my hands while watching it until I raced out, signaling to my husband with a panic face he knew to follow. Outside getting into the car I told him what I saw he then slammed dunked his sandwich in the parking lot as we drove off grossed out and mad. Mad, sad and shocked because we love Arby's. Isolated instance maybe but as I see it, an episode worth a review here about this place along with how "it" was handled, more like orchestrated. If this staff member had taken care of me then the issue with it privately, I would have abided by her lead. Possibly this is why they so awkwardly have to let the folks in by key in the first place? Possibly she missed the unwelcome guest in the corner but in my opinion, she did not know to look. In summarizing my personal viewpoint, I truly hope to be helpful: I'm not naive about restaurants and operations when dealing with the public as I have worked in 4 from highschool through college. I was overall left with a feeling of loss and disgust. Loss of a comfort food goto my entire life! I used to love the nights my mom rolled into Arby's after picking me up from gymnastics. We collected the glassware we dunked our potato cakes in the Jamoca shake and now all these years later I still never say no when someone says "how about Arby's?" I can never put enough horsey sauce or Arby's sauce on my sandwich. Its worth the mess squishing out of the bun getting all over my hands and face. It sucks this happened but I'll recover. I won't hold it against the food chain but I will follow up with the health department. I do expect my call to the corporate office that night be handled as the outgoing message states is their goal "to make it right." I'll keep going out to eat to all restaurants and likely regain the denial mindset that is best for a common nuisance. Whatever it takes to make it right- My opinion because of the size of the one I saw- the building and surroundings need immediate attention. Spray and treat or remove all bushes, trees, stumps, planter box dirt and wood if any, clear sewer lines, clean and scrub all outside surfaces all pavement and sidewalks, get a turbo super sized extermination and follow suggested modern fixes. Make improvements now like painting and sealing. Shut down for as long as it takes until effective. What I experienced was a health and safety heavy duty issue being mismanaged by the building owner. Followed by the deliberate negligence of the Arby's franchisee owner/manager. The proof being an imposed procedure that, in my opinion, should not be continued. The help wanted handwritten sign at eye level as I walked in should have been my warning that inside one of my fast food favs lies an issue...proceed...
Read moreCan't I give a lower rating?! I was 6 minutes past 'happy' hour- and clearly the happy had gone out to the Manager- so I was flatly told, "we don't do those anymore" with NO attempt at customer service when I tried to order items off the $1 menu. Her rudeness and dismissal had me cutting my order short, and when telling her so, her response was "Don't get an attitude with me." Upon getting my receipt, which was illegible, I asked for one that could be read (I needed it for expense reimbursement) she scoffed and told me that was just their printer and there was no other way to print it. So I told her to cancel the order and refund my money, which she chose to do in small bills and coins- rather than putting it back on the card. Been to this location many times (out of convenience, not preference) and have not been satisfied with the food, facilities or service more than once in a row. Hit and miss me, and don't misunderstand me. I'll drive out of my way to the Ashlan location to avoid the nasty at the Blackstone and Sierra spot. But seeing as how corporate couldn't be bothered (yes I went there- to check policies) to call back, I'll most likely take my...
Read moreAfter calling the manager and letting him know they had my order wrong because I was allergic to bacon and the only beef I can eat is brisket as a disabled veteran with the gout... the managers finally gave me time to express my feelings as I explained that I had recently gone to a restaurant down the street that was quite expensive and also that served brisket and gave me a full saucer plate of Gristle and fat and the only meat was as big as a half of a quarter for $30 after expressing that I was not satisfied I allow my wife to finish and just ate salad that night but one week later I went to an Arby's on Blackstone and Sierra where the service was impeccable the food was impeccable and the price was impeccable.. at the end of our conversation I let him know that driving over to Arby's when is time ....is worth my time ...my only recommendation is for you all to put on the menu is a grilled ground chicken burger!!! Thank you humbly again for your concern...
