Came in with my husband and was told to sit down at a table by a bartender behind the bar. We sat down and grabbed menus that were on the table that felt like they haven't been cleaned off at all. They were slimey and I saw some crumbs stuck to one. We picked what we wanted to eat pretty quickly but we had to wait around for a waitress to come around and ask for our drink order. After maybe 10 minutes a lady comes by and just simply asks "what do you want?" Not asking if we are ready or if we had any questions. We give her our order and she runs away. We then sit around for maybe another 10 minutes before she drops off our drinks and runs away again. The place is fairly busy so I can understand she has other tables to attend to but she wouldn't make any small talk with us like I saw her doing with other tables. As we are waiting for our food to show up we noticed that the tables around us, that showed up after us, was getting their food quicker than us, when we ordered similar things. I'm not sure how long we waited for our food but by the time it showed up we received our appetizer with our main dish. My husband ordered chicken wings, a burger and fries. I ordered a pulled pork sandwhich and fries. I immediately noticed that there isn't alot of meat on my sandwhich compared to other times I've gone. And once I put the top bun on the sandwhich and picked it up I noticed that I had very little fries. Even compared to my husband's amount, it was smaller. My husband's wings also still had feathers on them. Not just a little hair like thing on the wings here and there but on half the wings there was noticeably feathers or something that clearly wasn't meat was attached to wings. The food over all taste wise wasn't that great compared to past experiences. We picked at our food for a long time watching the waitress go by us and completely ignore us but stand and talk to other tables. We were ignored to the point we thought we were forgotten about and they weren't going to give us a check. Only when I went on my phone and looked at reviews and started talking about leaving one did we get a box and our check and the lady's undivided attention. While looking at reviews I saw someone mention that POC had bad experiences, which my husband is, we joked about it but after thinking back, everyone else that the lady's were paying attention too were all older white people. We went in remembering the past times we enjoyed the food and left not wanting to come back. I don't know if the owners, chef and waiters changed within the past year but something has changed and it's definitely not worth the...
Read moreAbsolutely Disgraceful Service – Never Again
If I could give zero stars, I would. I recently visited Ollie’s in Frisco with my family, and it was, without question, one of the worst dining experiences of my life, all thanks to the absolute disgrace of a waitress, Vera O.
From the moment we walked in, she carried an attitude as if serving customers was beneath her. It only got worse when she found out I was a U.S. Marine veteran, someone who served this country in Iraq. Instead of the respect and decency any paying customer deserves, I was met with outright hostility. She slammed cups down on the table, threw drinks at us, and treated my British and Spanish family members with complete disrespect. Discrimination? That’s exactly what it felt like.
She messed up our orders, had a nasty attitude the entire time, and made it clear she had no business working in customer service. Frankly, she doesn’t even deserve a job washing dishes.
To top it off, we had a large group and were forced to pay a gratuity, money that this person absolutely did not deserve. If I had any choice, I would have left her nothing but a note telling her to find a new profession.
I tried to speak with a manager or owner, but of course, no one was available. The lack of accountability at this location is astounding. A few days before, I ate at the Ollie’s in Breckenridge, and the experience was night and day, amazing service, incredible food, and staff who actually care. I was later told these two locations are owned by different brothers, which makes total sense because the Frisco location is a disaster.
Do yourself a favor, skip this place entirely. The Breckenridge location is where you should go if you want actual hospitality. As for the Frisco location?...
Read moreWe went here because of positive reviews online, but had a disappointing experience owing to the rudeness of our server. We came at 9pm and asked if they were still serving food, and were told they were serving until 10pm. After waiting a while for service, I approached a server behind the bar and she quite brusquely said "Well I also have to clear up here to close the bar". She did eventually come over and we ordered. My partner is vegetarian and asked for a veggie burger. When our order arrived I asked which was the vegetarian burger and she wasn't able to confirm, so took one of the plates back to the kitchen. We waited a while, uncertain of what was happening, and during the wait I had eaten the whole of my meal. Eventually the server returned with a burger for my partner and said "They cooked you a whole new one" in an unfriendly tone. It felt as though we were being blamed for the server not being sure if the first meal was vegetarian. When we paid, my partner said he did not want to add gratuity as the service had been poor. We normally always tip at least the standard 20%. The server said "I really don't care", put the card machine down and walked away. We felt confused, but paid using the machine and, when she did not return, left it on the table and exited. Such a shame as the experience we've had so far of customer service in Colorado has been exceptionally friendly,...
