I had the absolute displeasure of getting Jonah at the drive thru window, today. Iām a regular customer, visiting up to 5 times a week with my family, and each time has always been pleasant and such a treat. However, engaging with Jonah changed all of that. Iām not sure if he was just having a bad day due to personal issues or what, but he was very rude and made it apparent that he did not want to be there working. It made for quite the horrific experience.
I ordered a caramel Frappuccino that had huge chunks of ice in it, and tasted more like water than coffee. So, I returned to the window to inform him. While I was speaking, he closed the window and walked off. He, then, brought another drink that heād remade but with whipped cream, which I specifically requested not be added. I, then, gently reminded him that my original drink did not include whipped cream, and that Iād asked for a refund, not another drink. At that juncture, I asked [again] if he would just please take the original drink back and simply refund my money, but he [again] closed the window while I was speaking. Jonah was clearly very irritated and frustrated that heād forgotten that detail about the whipped cream, and turned away to āremakeā the drink. However, he did not remake it but instead removed the whipped cream from the top. He, then, proceeded to hand me a drink with whipped cream all over the side of the cup and top. When I addressed it as well as him closing the window while I was speaking, and not granting me a refund when that was what I originally requested, he interrupted me, walked off and stated 'I'll just go and get my manager' as he closed the window again.
Chris, the manager, came to the window and was very helpful, professional and understanding.
Again, I don't know if Jonah was just having a bad day - after all he is human, but it's imperative that he understands he cannot displace his anger and frustration onto the customers. Otherwise, he becomes a liability to the company rather...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI continue to give this location chances and I have no idea why--probably the comfy seating. Aside from that though, this location is incredibly slow, always under or over cooks the food, key items are continuously out of stock, the espresso is burned on almost every occasion, and the cleanliness of this store is very very bad. A few times I thought it was just timing, but this most recent visit, I figured out why: A customer spilled an entire iced beverage on the floor, and none of the staff batted an eye. It was left smack dab in the middle of the floor, where the main circle of chairs are. Even after being pointed out to the staff, I was told point blank that they didn't have enough people staffed to clean it up. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. Someone could easily slip and hurt themselves. When I left the store 20 minutes later, the spill had still not been cleaned up...In addition to this, the napkins are NEVER stocked. Again, pointed out to the staff and they made a statement about being too busy. I have worked in the fast food industry, and you are NEVER too busy to upkeep your store.
I understand being short-staffed sucks and this isn't their fault--it's management's. This location is very clearly poorly managed. THE MANAGER OF THIS STARBUCKS NEEDS TO DO BETTER. We pay good money for goods/services we just flat are not receiving from this location. And considering it's practically brand new, this is just sad.
I love the location and style of the inside of this store, but all the core functions of a Starbucks are just not met. And considering it's brand new, this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStopped by this location for a quick coffee and snack before heading to an appointment. It was about 12pm CST. There were only 4 cars in the drive thru, but seemed to take a while to get to order. During ordering there was definitely a disconnect as we started our or 3 times with 3 different people. The third and final person missed the order for a straight coffee with nonfat milk which had to be repeated twice. Got to the window to pay at which point the window opened, the barista confirmed the order and took payment, but immediate proceed to shut the window with limited interaction. Window opened a second time, coffee was handed out and immediately shut again without any interaction and I had to get their attention (through a closed window) to confirm they were still working on the rest of the order as well as ask for some napkins / straw. Window opened 3rd time and rest of order handed, but it was wrong. In our favor of course, giving us duplicates of what we ordered, but the window shut so fast again we couldnāt even say anything. So, we left with the extra food. Just not the usual experience...
