Fruita staff work so hard and are often understaffed on weekends which everyone expects the worst when they realize this. But you can tell management chose their staff for the temperament of the persons because I have seen them cool as cucumbers. While dealing with impatient and unacceptably rude customers. They remain one and all unflappable, feathers unruffled. Calm and positive, never losing their composure and remaining professional during one particularly busy Saturday during breakfast/lunch changeover, when they unexpectedly received a VERy large online order. I witnessed the counter attendant deftly handle one customer who came up to loudly complain about the wait time, and within a flat minute had soothed the frustrated patron with her demeanor and matter of fact composure. She acknowledged the complaint, validating the woman's grievance and offered sympathy to her situation all the while taking another customers order and trying up orders for those waiting for their food. I was so impressed I made sure to very clearly and loudly THANKED THE STAFF AND COMMENDED THEIR EFFORTS, in front of a crowded lobby just to make a point to anybody left doubting, that these people are people like every one of us and their efforts often go without even the smallest token show of appreciation, which is a shame because they were working diligently and with purpose towards a shared common goal. I left with MY VERY LARGE ORDER (yes! It was ME!! I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!) satisfied that my order was made correctly, and I hoped each of the McDonald's staff received a blessing that was...
Read moreOkay, let me start here. I am not a customer, but an employee. I would like to let you all know how this place has treated me. Today, I went in for a 6 A.M. Shift like normal, getting food prepped and ready for the inevitable rush. After about an hour or so, Miriam Galindo, A manager mainly in charge of opening the restaurant, began mocking my slightly squinted eyes. It was about 7 am on the weekend, so I was undoubtedly tired, but that's beside the point. She then began speaking in spanish, to another co-worker who was fluent in the language, however, she did not take into account that I too, spoke a fair bit of spanish, and understood her talking about me behind my back. She would say "Is he from China...?" And "Wow, he is so fat" among other things. This behavior was unacceptable, and will be one of the reasons for my resignation. I just wanted any future employees to see this, and be aware of what has happened. Side note here, They also made me stay another hour later, after an 8-hour shift because they forgot to give someone their break. Everyone else had gone home at 2 PM, except for me. This was not my fault, so I should not have had to take the fall for it. Regardless, this was extremely unprofessional and really made me think twice about the choice I made for employment there. Make sure you research the people you'll be working with before applying. It might work out, or It might be like this. Anyways, enough said from me. You...
Read moreThis used to be my favorite Micky D's but unfortunately there has been some changes. After a early morning on the Colorado National Monument I would stop in for 2 Sausage Mc Muffin with egg. They use to be the best in the entire world, so fresh and hot. In my humble opinion they toasted the Muffin with butter. The egg was hot and buttery and the sausage was moist. It worked! My last two orders were not the same. The first I took it as a bad day at Micky D's The second I knew it was never going to be the same. 26 minutes to order and receive the order. Dry Muffin barely toasted and none of that delicious butter that I expected. The egg wad dry and cold like it wasn't as fresh as before. The sausage wasn't the same either, dry and cold. But it was the cheese that got me, like dry skin pudding tops is the only way to describe it. The whole sandwich was just a gas station, microwave sandwich. And yes the other Mc Muffin was exactly the same. It is what it is. Times are changing and McDonald's has to do what they feel is in their best interest and I understand that. I wish them...
