We made a reservation to celebrate my mom's birthday for their weekend brunch, and while the experience had some highlights, there were a few things that could use improvement. The brunch buffet itself was tasty, especially when the food was fresh. The shrimp and grits were definitely my favorite! However, some of the food that had been sitting under heat lamps for a while was a bit dry. Despite that, the buffet offered a great variety and was definitely a solid deal for the price. One downside, though, was that there were supposed to be two buffet lines, but they closed one line down early, even though brunch hours weren't over yet. This made the line longer and less efficient, which was a bit frustrating. A highlight was the made-to-order omelette station, where you tell the staff your table number and they bring it to you. Everything else on the buffet was self-serve, which was fine. Since we were there for my mom's birthday, the restaurant gave her a plate of cookies to take home (apparently they're Steve Spurrier's wife’s recipe), and they were really good! They also brought her a candle to blow out, which was nice. We opted for the bottomless mimosas for an extra $25 per person, but the setup for this was a bit of a hassle. You’re given a ticket (kind of like a receipt) and have to walk it to the bar near the entrance, even if you're seated in the back like we were. The bar was often unmanned, and there was always a line when we went up. What was even more frustrating was the bartenders didn’t manage the line well at all—people in the back of the line were being helped first, while those of us who had been waiting at the front got ignored. When we finally did get served, the bartenders weren’t great at pouring—they spilled champagne everywhere and got our tickets wet (which was annoying because we had to keep them for each round). I understand champagne can be bubbly, but it felt like the staff wasn’t organized. Honestly, if I had known the setup would be like this, I would have just ordered individual drinks instead of going with the bottomless option—it wasn’t worth the trouble, and I felt like I didn’t get my money’s worth. Overall, while the food was good and the atmosphere was decent, the service and drink setup left a lot to be desired. Would I come back? Maybe for the food, but definitely not for the bottomless mimosas.

If you're a Florida Gator fan, visiting Spurrier's in Gainesville, Florida is a must-do. As soon as you walk in, you're surrounded by Steve Spurrier's coaching legacy through the memorabilia and video footage on the screens. The restaurant's aesthetic is eye-catching and makes every Gator fan proud. The waiters are helpful and friendly, and the atmosphere is lively. I had the pleasure of going upstairs to the Visors space, and it was an experience like no other. The rooftop has a big city feel with indoor-outdoor dining, and the view is just breathtaking. Although the menu upstairs is not as extensive as the main floor, I didn't mind it at all. I ordered the crab cakes, and they were delicious. The food came out in a timely manner, and the servers were attentive. Live music was playing outside, and the weather was perfect. It was an experience that I'll never forget. Overall, I highly recommend Spurrier's to anyone looking for a good time with great food and a fantastic atmosphere. If you're a fan of the Florida Gators and the legendary football coach Steve Spurrier, then Spurrier's in Gainesville, Florida is a must-visit! As a local guide, I recently had the pleasure of dining here and was blown away by the abundance of Gator memorabilia and video footage on the screens, which took me back to Spurrier's coaching glory days. The restaurant aesthetic is eye-catching and makes anyone proud to be a Gator fan. The waiters were extremely helpful and friendly, and I even ventured upstairs to the space called Visors. I loved the rooftop big city feel with the indoor-outdoor dining and the live music playing outside. The weather was perfect, and the atmosphere was truly an experience. I ordered the crab cakes, and they were delicious. The menu upstairs was not as extensive as the main floor, but that really didn't bother me. The food came out in a timely manner, and our server was attentive. Overall, I highly recommend Spurrier's for any Gator fan or anyone looking for a unique dining experience in Gainesville.

Spurrier's is what one would expect at its price point, and there are many food photos and comments by others, so I won't add a lot to that. I will say, it is my goto place for a well crafted Caesar salad. To me, it's one of the best if not the best Caesar salads in town. For me, the chicken wings are sublime. Amongst the best I’ve ever had. They are not the typical sports bar wings in either size or price, because Spurrier’s isn’t sports bar. It’s a sport themed, higher-end restaurant. In my opinion, the wings are totally worth it. The eight wings served at Spurrier's are a hefty size, perhaps equating in meat volume to many other places 10 or 12 wing servings. The sauce selection is limited to three, but even if they had dozens, for me, the Spurrier's house made Louisiana sauce is the perfect mix of heat and tang. I get it every time. I've been to Spurrier's several times, and my favorite way to experience it is when Celebration Pointe has a free concert. Celebration has free concerts regularly, and Spurrier's will often open their outdoor bar window, allowing procurement of adult beverages to be enjoyed during the show, since purchased open containers are allowed outside at Celebration Pointe. After the show, I'll often go inside and sit at the bar for a Caesar salad, wings, or both, along with a nightcap to finish the evening. The photos posted are of a recent Jazz on the Green concert featuring the band Mindwalk, and a shot of the outdoor bar window that is to the left of the main entrance, which is just off "the green." You can’t miss it.

My Personal Experience consisted of slow and poor service throughout the night. This may have been an off night, but this is just my experience.

I had booked this place for dinner reservations to have a birthday celebration with my friends, we were a party of 8. Upon arrival we were seated fine. We had placed appetizer orders, but did not place order for our mains until about when the appetizers arrived which was maybe 30 or 40 minutes after we had sat down. The appetizers tasted fine.

The service completely fell apart during our main course. After around 30 minutes from placing our order only 5 of our 8 dishes arrived. Those of us with food waited patiently, but after 20 minutes, we still hadn't been checked on. Finally, we were informed of a system error that prevented the remaining 3 orders from being placed. This delay left our earlier dishes cold. To make matters worse, my boneless ribeye was overcooked (ordered medium-rare, received medium). At that point, with people still waiting for food, addressing the steak felt pointless.

When we finally were told about the issues they had with our missing dishes they did take off the appetizers we ordered from the final bill, which was nice, but I feel as though more could have been done for those specifically who did not receive their food. We were also told that they would check back up on us after the food was out and meals were finished, but we were not.

Overall I left unsatisfied and felt like they just did not care enough about us as customers. It could be because it is orange and blue weekend and they are busy entertaining and caring for gator boosters private events. Even with Orange and Blue weekend, a premium restaurant should ensure timely food delivery and correct orders and not make us wait 20 minutes to even hear the reason why our food was missing.

The food itself was decent, but the experience prevents me from recommending this restaurant for special occasions or any for that matter. It's possible this was an off night, but I felt it...
