What a difference a year makes! We ate their last January and the place was really nice, the food was good a good variety of pizza on the hot bar and the place was clean. This evening we go in there they had part of the dining room closed because she was cleaning it and she said you'll have to sit in this section which was fine but there was dirty plates place all over the tables, the floors were covered with napkins and trash and food. There wasn't a very good selection on the bar it looked like there was more Chiefs running around than there were Indians. Everybody in a uniform or a dress shirt while this one girl was trying to run register, stock the salad bar, clean the dining room and it was a total mess in there but you got three managers or what seemed to be three managers walking around not doing nothing it was pretty pathetic and my friend that was with me went and told somebody because there was a bunch of people in there that came in and they had to clear their own table off because it was filthy with dirty dishes. He, one of the managers in a grey dress shirt comes out and sticks his head around the area where the dirty tables were and goes back. I guess he didn't want to get dirty or was just too weak to lift the dishes off the table. We were there about 9, an hour before they closed. Gatlinburg is a tourist town, it was New Year's Day, good management plans a schedule for these days. Apparently these are just titled managers and not working managers. Then to really put a fly in their ointment, a group of about 15 came in 15 minutes before they were to close. They were already taking stuff of the buffet. I won't be back! Even the area they ask you to "lend them a hand" and take your dirty dishes and trash to was filthy as hell, I didn't even want to go near that area.

They are VERY strict on the buffet! Unless you pay for the buffet, you can not eat inside. I didn't know this and had ordered some cheesesticks and a drink, and the rest of my group got the buffet, and they wouldn't let me sit with them inside unless I also paid for the buffet. I asked if they could make an exception because i dont eat pizza and had already ordered the cheesesticks but I was told no, so I just went ahead and paid the extra money for the buffet so it wouldn't cause any problems and I could be with my group. But it was crazy in my opinion. Also, they won't allow half of your group to go ahead and sit down and get situated while you order/pay. Which makes things difficult for large groups of families with young children. I saw quite a few people get upset over this while we were there. Basically, you can not enter until you pay for the buffet. Aside from that inconvenience, the food is very good, the people are friendly but strict, the place is pretty clean, be aware the chair legs stick out a little bulky and weird and can be a tripping hazard for children. If we ever go back, I'll be prepared to just buy the buffet instead of ordering anything.

Why can't you have negative reviews? This place would definitely get that. We went to eat and my children had to use the restroom. Had been holding it since Sevierville. Stopped in to have lunch, went to ask where the restroom was and was told, this is for paying guest ONLY!! We informed the lady we were going to eat but they need to go to the restroom first. The lady yelled at us, I DONT CARE IF THEY NEED TO USE THE RESTROOM, THIS IS FOR PAYING GUEST ONLY !!!!! Mt husband informed her we were eating just really need to get them in a bathroom. She just shrugged and dismissed him. So we left. No consideration or compassion. Definitely not a place a family needs to eat at. DO NOT STOP !! I REPEAT,DO NOT STOP. I took a picture of the lady who was rude as we left, she's the cashier.

WILL NEVER ORDER PIZZAS FROM THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN. My home is in chalet village just blocks from Cici’s. Went in on Thurs Nov 9th early afternoon while having a terrible day. With some construction on my house I had hurt my foot that day, and had misplaced my wallet. My husband agreed to meet me at Cicis since I had no form of payment and I needed to sit and get off my foot for a bit. When entering the restaurant a young brunette girl with thick makeup blocked me from walking to a table ā€œcan I help you?!ā€ she said abrasively. ā€œYes I’m meeting my husband, I’m going to sit at a table, he will order when he gets here.ā€ And then with posture like she might pick a physical fight, she says ā€œyou can wait over thereā€ pointing at the tiny space with no chairs directly in front of the cash register. ā€œThere’s no where to sit, I may as well sit in my car.ā€ ā€œThat’s fineā€, she says curtly, with arms folded (negative body language) and a smart aleck smirk on her face. ā€œWe’re locals you knowā€ I said. ā€œYeah, that’s fine.ā€ she said in her smart aleck tone, with a look of satisfaction she was running me out of the store. I’ve been in there a ton of times picking up countless pizza orders to treat the contractors working on my house. She may as well have said ā€œF you for being a regular customerā€.

I actually at this point was having such a horrible day that I thought I might just burst out in tears. I go out to my car and called my husband and tell him no way are we ever spending another dime in that establishment, and we met at a pizza place down the street that we’d never been to that has 10 times better quality pizza anyway.

Now, after I left, it occurred to me that this may have been because of the buffet they have at Cicis. I don’t know if the buffer is something they do all the time since I’ve always picked up and never dined in, but if yes then maybe that’s the reason. But I don’t do buffets of any sort, not even salad bars. Too many germs and too much opportunity for food poisoning.

But I don’t really care her reason. That gal needs to learn the art of ā€˜it’s not what you say, but how you say it’ that matters. She works in the hospitality field and needs a great big lesson on what it means to be a hostess. I will never order pizzas from this place ever again. I mean just have some decency and be nice for Pete’s sake. I wish I would have gotten her name. My husband and I own several small businesses, and If I were the owner I would fire that gal immediately. Or at least put her in the back where she cannot interact with customers, as she is an absolute detriment to...

We ordered online for pickup. I walked over, we were staying across the street, to pick up my pizza. The door was locked with a car in the lot. I called the phone number but it wasn't picked up. I left a message stating it was well past the time the pizza was supposed to be ready and the door was locked. I called the corporate offices and tried several options in the automated system but was only able to leave a voice message. I tried on their ordering website for some resolution but it said to talk to the local store. The confirmation email only gave the local stores information for contact. Finally they got there to post a sign that they were closed today (40 minutes after they were supposed to be open). I asked him how to get my money back for my order. He said what order? I told him the online order and he said to do it on the website. I had already tried that route while waiting and it doesn't have a way to look up my order (ordered as a guest) or request a refund, it also says contact the local store. I asked for a phone number to try and get resolution and he said he didn't have one. I said as a franchise owner you don't have a number? He said I have lots of numbers. I asked again for a number to get it resolved, he said no. I asked do I need to call the police to get some help? He said he didn't care cal the f-ing police if you want. I did and he was as difficult with them as me. He had an easy way out, it's outside of his ability but here is a number to call for help and done but he showed multiple times that he has no reason being a store manager. I showed the police and let them navigate the website to see that there wasn't anything I could do online and that it all pointed me to the local business for help. You can see in my history of reviews that I do a great deal of reviews and am pretty easy going with my reviews and lenient towards issues so you can belive this location should never be visited, regardless of Under New...
