Overal, I’m giving 3 stars bc all of my prior experiences have been great. As a semi-local (an hour away), I’ve had a lot of meals here. Today- a Sunday morning- was different. I was asked to put lay my purse on the table, leaving me unsure where I was supposed to eat. Multiple coffee pots were also left on the table, taking up even more space, and when asked the reason, our server said that one was probably hotter than the other. And when we asked if we could split up so we had room to at least eat, mgmt told our server “no,” bc there was a line formed for seating. When trying to order, I asked a question about the # of pancakes on a child’s order for my daughter, to which my server replied “you’ll need to get the short stack since your over 10.” No, ma’am. I wasn’t asking for me.
By far, the worst happened when we asked for refills, and our server took our glasses, annd upon returning them refilled, anctually sat one of them down at another party’s table, handed out the drinks in her hand, then went back to the other party’s table to retrieve the third drink, and brought it back to us at our table. To top off the entire experience, our server made a point to suddenly engage and be overly nice while we paid our ticket, all while standing suspiciously over my shoulder, in straight view of the tip I would leave. I am a huge advocate for tipping generously, typically, as serving was the way that I survived for many of my younger years, I found this to be in very poor taste.
Overall, this meal experience was an utter disappointment. Next time, we’ll go to Reagan’s House...
Read moreThis restaurant was wonderful. Being in a tourist area, the service was so friendly, the food was great for both vegetarian and non vegetarians and the atmosphere was clean, upbeat, and very decored with the citys vibe. Also, having a table available quite quickly as tables were practically full by the time by the time we arrived (8am) Our server was so cheery and checked up on our table often without being too bothersome, even offering advice on everything from food to what to do in town to medical centers. She knew the menu well and offered recommendations when hearing what everyone preferred or was looking to eat. She even helped alter an order so one of my teammates could change certain parts offered in her order (due to her religious beliefs on what she could and could not eat). The bathrooms and dining areas were clean and well set with all the amenities expected for such an establishment. It's definitely a southern vibe, which to me (who lives in the south wasn't surprising), but my team wasn't accustomed to. Although I had to leave early from the remainder of the trip, the rest of my team was so impressed that they were pretty certain they would come back to this restaurant after having such a pleasant experience. There were other decent places we dined in, but this one was at the top of the list at least while I...
Read moreFrom the time we walked in the door until we left, this was hands down the BEST food we had here in Gatlinburg. The end of July. The prices were great. The service from Shelly B. , Excellent. She was on the floor by herself when we arrived. with several tables she knew what she was doing, proper steps of service and everyone that was served by her were in great hands and received the excellent service! Especially in a tourist town it's hard to find even good service. This was excellent service. Thank you Shelly B. Drinks were kept full, food was served hot, checked dropped at proper time. The food was plentiful. The food was served hot. And they accommodated a substitution. Great job kitchen. And again, Shelly B. for serving the food hot! Friendly host, and service. We were intrigued by the decor, the fishing rods for "curtain rods". My husband did comment that it was a waste of a perfectly good fishing rod, jokingly. The only couple of suggestions would be , would be to update your restrooms and "somehow" accommodate more parking for the great food and service you have to offer.Thank you again Shelly B. for the excellent service. I hope customers TIP ( To Insure Proper Service ) properly. From the...
