Hot Diggity Dawg — Restaurant in Gatlinburg

I would consider myself a hot dog connoisseur and I must say, the hot dogs here are phenomenal. The immaculate condition of the bun provides a beautiful, almost eye watering presentation of some of the greatest culinary expertise and love ever put into a hot dog I have ever had the pleasure to experience. The hot dog itself was pristine in texture, had a fresh and mouth watering aroma, and was nothing less than perfect in every aspect measurable. The gouda cheese, you could tell it was made with the most dedication, love and care put into thought. It was the binding of the hot dog to the bun and was the completing piece of the already perfect puzzle. Every bite was so powerful and full of flavor that it was almost overwhelming, from how delicious and fresh it tasted. Every bite got worse and worse, not because of the ingredients, or quality of the hot dog, but purely from the fact that each bite I took was one step closer to finishing this heavenly experience. The raw talent and skill required to prepare a meal like this in unfathomable. Hot dogs are usually a simple meal, but the way this restaurant makes them, it is like I am eating like a billionaire, and even then, that does not even begin to describe the flavor that hit my tongue from that first bite.

I long for an experience like this once again but something like this is once in a lifetime worthy. If I could give any more stars than 5 I would.

What a wonderful dining experience! Very casual and super friendly atmosphere! Our family were a bit overwhelmed from all the activities we had done in town and from all the people. The restaurant is on a side road right off the main strip so it isn’t as crowded and was a welcome break from all the crowds. The couple who own the restaurant welcomed us immediately and were very nice!

The food was amazing, we got 2 chili dogs, street tacos, a cheese steak, and chicken fingers! They serve their own cheese sauce and omg it’s amazing!! They also make their own chips which were so good!

We got delicious milkshakes (don’t judge us please, it’s our vacation so we eat a lot, lol) and we got some coconut cake, chocolate cake, and cheesecake! They make everything fresh and they make their own desserts which are sooo good! My favorite was the coconut cake and my husband loved the cheesecake which were served with strawberries on top 😛 We didn’t spend a lot of money for a family of 5 either, super affordable and convenient! Staff is friendly enough, but the food was meh at best. Honestly the dogs did not seem to be Nathan's dogs, and they didn't honestly taste like beef. Not seeing the package that came out of, I can't confirm that, but that's how it tasted.

Caseo was really good, did not care for the chips, not sure how they're made or what they're made of, but it was quite different from tortilla chips

Prices are fair enough, no complaints there. Just wasn't thrilled with it.
