Meh. I heard a lot of good things about this place and I just don’t get it. Went with high hopes for a new place. Thoroughly disappointed. Got there 20 minutes after they opened and the shelves for the pastries were empty. Only about 25% were stocked. While I sat there and ate my food and drank my coffee. The staff slowly filled the shelves to where everything was fully stocked 45 minutes after they opened. There is a weird system where you your drinks from a kiosk then pick out your pastries then pay again. The staff was indifferent and unhelpful. There are only 3 tables to sit at with 4 seats each. So this is not a place to go have a drink and enjoy yourself. The pastries were individually wrapped and cold like they were stored in a refrigerator. This clearly is not a bakery, but a storefront where goods are made elsewhere shipped in and sold. The selection was odd. I lived in Europe and didn’t see anything that I would classify as a European style pastry, mostly breads, and a few rolled sponge cakes. They did have custard. The custard I ate was very good, but they don’t have spoons for the custard, only forks. Why serve custard and not have plastic spoons? The pastries at Panera and even Starbucks are better if you’re going to eat stuff that’s produced somewhere else and shipped in Also cheaper because a custard, pastry, and coffee for two...

Worth the drive - Just visited two days ago and came right back. Absolutely LOVE this place, holy cow. The bread is out of this world, SO soft, absolutely all of it. The cakes are stunning too, it's that perfect Asian balance of 'not too sweet'. The prices here are ridiculously reasonable too for every treat offered. I only wish I could get the peach green tea in a gallon jug, lol. I do wish it were a little larger inside for when there's a crowd to navigate around, but we're figuring out when the quiet times are to visit.
I like that they have separate kiosks where you can order drinks only from so that they can work on those while you shop all the many baked goodies they have.
The staff here have been wonderful with our questions and with recommendations. When we noticed some items we wanted were out of stock, we simply asked when they'll be putting out more - and one of the gals went back and came right out with full trays (they're new, guys, and things get busy; let them have a moment to restock the shelves - or just ask politely!).
We'll be coming back for a good...

This Taiwanese chain operates with a self-serve model, where you grab a tray and tongs and navigate through aisles of delicious-looking pastries, breads, and buns. The sheer variety is astonishing, with both sweet and savory options, from the iconic marble taro bread to savory cheese dogs and squid ink buns. The value here is excellent; you can fill a tray with a satisfying assortment for a very reasonable price. The bakery items are consistently fresh, with new batches often coming out of the oven. While the savory items are a standout, their desserts and cakes, while beautifully presented, can sometimes be an acquired taste, with a texture and level of sweetness that is different from Western desserts. The coffee and tea selection, particularly the signature Sea Salt Coffee, is a must-try. Be prepared for a crowd, as the popularity of this spot often means a bustling atmosphere and a line at the checkout. It's a fun, delicious, and budget-friendly place that’s perfect for exploring a new...
