I went with my wife to just look around for a cheap couch. We didn't find any good one, ended up get a nice, cheap couch from Big Lots instead. However, we did find a rug that we liked. It was expensive, but we liked it a lot. We are not impulse buyers so we left and came back a couple times within the month and still lived it. So, we decided to purchase it, as an anniversary present to us. They gave us a very small "discount" off the listed price. And they said they had in stock and we could take it home right then. After waiting over an hour after paying they came back and said they actually didn't have one and that they could get it shipped from the mainstore downtown in 3 weeks which would cost nearly the price of the rug. Or we could drive all the way downtown ourselves and pick it up within a very narrow time window on Saturday. We elected to pick it up. Saturday came and we made the long drive downtown. We got to the warehouse and it was somewhat crowded, but not bad. We were given number 15 and they were on number 9. It took forever. We waited over 2 hours and on top of that they gave 3 people number 15, it was an unorganized mess. We finally get the rug and drive home. We have the floor all clean and begin rolling out the rug, and it is the wrong rug. Very ugly. So we rolled it back up and took it to the store we bought it from and they were not even apologetic. The manager was trying to say how much nicer the rug was, which it was probably the ugliest rug in the store. So they reluctantly took it back. They decided to have the rug sent to the store and we can pick it up the next week. It took too more weeks, but finally we got a call and picked it up. It looked as if they had just rolled it up from off the show floor but it didn't look too dirty and we really liked the rug. They did not offer any additional discount or offer to make any other offer to make up for their mistakes. It took a total of approximately 3 months to get the rug. Terrible customer service, no timely deliver, and no regard to trying to keep their customer happy. I would not recommend shopping at Mega Furniture, plenty of other options near by, Ashley Home Store, JcPenny, Sears, Spencer's, etc. Wish they had RC...
Read moreI purchased a couch in Feb, 2016. We picked it up from the warehouse and assembled it at home. It was all ok besides the chaise, it sat uneven but it didn't bother us. In July, 2016 the brackets broke and the chaise caved in towards the bottom and the couch would not stay connected. So I contacted them and set a date for someone to come out and look at the bracket and chaise. I sent Jessica multiple pictures of the issues. When the technician came out 2 weeks later he took pictures and turned the chaise over and unzipped a small zipper and took out legs for the chaise from a taped up dark small package. He said they needed to get approval to have it fixed. Weeks went by with no communication so I contacted Jessica again and they sent out the same technician and he came to only take pictures AGAIN. Nothing was fixed. The next time he came he didn't have enough brackets to fix the entire couch and the chaise they delivered had the wrong brackets so they had to fix that. I contacted Jessica again in late October and was told that the manufacturer would be contacting me. I have gotten no calls or email regarding fixing my couch. It is now December and I have had puzzle pieces in my living room since July. I thought that since I had purchased the extra warranty from the manufacturer and I still had the one from mega that this would be no issue. It is pretty sad that I spent $2,000 on a couch with extra warranties and I only enjoyed it for 5 months. I asked about getting a refund to purchase a couch that didn't have brackets and was told by Jessica that since I already started the process of having it repaired that it was not an option. I have been more than patient in waiting to have my couch repaired but it's been 5 months and it's still not fixed. Through the months of getting it fixed I always have to follow up and call. Nobody ever reaches out to me. I will never shop here again and I am hoping I get a refund or I will be contacting the BBB and whoever else I need to so that other people don't...
Read moreWe purchased a dresser/mirror combo from the 7291 W Bell Rd. location over a month ago. It was not a model that they kept on the floor, so they helped me order it online. The images looked great and I was excited to receive it. I was told that it would arrive within 10 business days. SIXTEEN DAYS later (after I called them to ask for a status on our furniture) they informed me that it was ready for pickup.
After driving 45 minutes to the warehouse, we picked up our furniture that was in boxes, so there was no way to examine it. We brought it home and immediately opened it. Although "functionally" the furniture was okay, the entire front had a smeared film of some sort which made the paint job look chalky, unfinished, and uneven
We called right away and left a message (it was the weekend) with our concerns and inquired about an exchange. FOUR DAYS later and no response. I had to reach out to them once again. They asked me to send in pictures and they would decide what to do. TWO WEEKS LATER: No response. Once again I reached out to them. They informed me that my exchange request had been processed and assured me that I would be granted an exchange. They were just waiting for their vendor to send a new one.
Another TWO WEEKS later I reached out to them once again. Surprisingly, this time, I was somehow informed that their vendor was denying the claim because it was not a major functional defect. Apparently selling lower grade, slapped together furniture is okay, as long as the drawers work.
They offered me 20% off to keep the piece, but I declined the offer and said I would rather return the piece of furniture. I was put on hold so that the employee could "discuss it with her manager". This was over an hour and a half ago and still no answer.
In a nutshell, poor quality furniture with poorer quality organization and...
