Bruster's Real Ice Cream — Restaurant in Glendale

I feel bad saying this because the staff here is very friendly and tries hard, but the difference between the ice cream at this location and the one off of Bell is just crazy. I have tried 6 different flavors or more at both locations before posting this to make sure I was not just being annoying but the scoops at this location never have many ingredients in them-the Cookie Dough has maybe two small pieces of dough with the rest just plain vanilla ice cream, the Southern Banana Pudding has one nilla wafer only per scoop, the Butterfinger Crunch had one Butterfinger small piece and one small bite of PB etc while the location off Bell is consistently loaded with ingredients probably 60 percent more than Westgate. If I wanted plain vanilla ice cream I would order it but I am here for the good stuff lol. Super disappointed because I know how good...

Terrible customer service and terrible design. First off the thought and design of the physical building is terrible and has no clear direction where to get service. To get to the service windows you have to walk through the drive through lane. God forbid if a child runs out into drive through lane. This is all before they even took my order, when I got to the window to order it took the staff 3 tries to get my order. They don’t have a basic ordering system someone took my order 2 twice because they don’t take names or order number and have no way of keeping track. Went to tell the staff that I was waiting for an hour for 2 items they said that they would make it right away and someone took it AGAIN. Arizona + ice cream = happy place. Bruster's has plenty of options to your liking. I've had a few disappointing flavors, so play it safe. You are paying for and ice cream Cadillac, so nothing worse than shelling out all that money for a flavor you wouldn't get again. I always find that 2 scoops in a waffle bowl does the trick. Because of how rich the ice cream can be, 3 scoops always seems to push it. It is located at Westgate which is ALWAYS a busy location. Fortunately, Bruster's is located right off Glendale and closer to 91st Ave. Not near as congested with people and traffic. Update: I changed my review to 5 stars. I received a response: "You can always ask for a sample." Well, shelling out $ for a flavor I don't care...
