I had a really bad experience at my cafรฉ and I decided to leave a review but I realized I'm not the only one and other people have had similar experiences. I hate the feeling of being judged and that's exactly what they did. I got there around seven PM when I first entered the cafรฉ I asked one of the girls if it was OK to have my computer and they said yes sure- and I was not notified of having a time limit, but I understand they judged me based on my order since I only ordered a cake and a coffee they implied their policy on me. They didn't know the backstory. They didn't know that I was going to spend maybe an hour or two until my husband got there so we could have something to eat and enjoy our evening at their cafe. I just felt judged and it was very humiliating to be asked to leave by the owner. I wonder what they gained out of kicking one person out. I understand they have a policy, but if they can't bend the policy when they're not packed, it came off very inhumane. I want to support an Armenian business and enjoy a nice evening, get some work done, but their uneasy approach ruined my night. I don't see myself ever going back and I will not recommend anyone else. I wonder if I had ordered a sandwich or something else would they still kick me out?? It came off as very aggressive and money hungry. Girls seating next to my table also had their computer and they ordered some light food- they got there probably few minutes after me I wonder if they were asked to leave as well ๐คทโโ๏ธ I took a screenshot of the photo I had posted to my Instagram story at 8:11 when I was already in my car- and it clearly shows the photo was posted 53 min prior. I can't imagine them timing and walking around every table and asking them to leave. This was targeted towards a stereotype. If they're so strict on their policy - you can clearly see a computer bag from a mile away you can kindly tell people upfront instead of kicking them out. As a business owner you should care about your reputation and treat returning, loyal customers better. It wasn't my first time there we've been there several times but never been asked to leave so clearly their time limit is different...
ย ย ย Read moreI was in this cafe once and then I liked everything. I ordered salmon roll and I really liked it and remembered it. Today I decided to visit this establishment for the second time and wanted to order this dish again, but because of my carelessness, I ordered crepe with red caviar and how surprised I was when they brought me this dish!! It was very small for its unreasonable cost ($20)! This dish consisted of ONE halved crepe with a small amount of caviar on top. The cost of crepe is minimal, is it really a pity to make at least two full-fledged pancakes for your guests for such a price? And I want to explain why I was outraged by this and why I think this dish is unreasonably expensive for its size. I began to compare this dish to a salmon roll, which contains crepe, cucumber, salmon, cream cheese, and red caviar placed on top. This dish is quite filling, beautiful, tasty and costs $19, which is even cheaper by $1 than a crepe with red caviar. Why then is there such a price of $20 for two halves of a crepe that contains nothing else except a small amount of caviar and butter. By the way, the amount of caviar in these two dishes is not much different. If there had been more caviar than there was or the portion had been larger, I might not have been outraged. Itโs a pity that I didnโt take a photo, I was so hungry that I remembered about it after I ate it. And okay, if this dish was incredibly tasty despite all this, but no! Unfortunately, the crepe was very cold and bland in taste, or rather they were tasteless and even the caviar did not particularly enhance this taste. I donโt want to underestimate you too much, since I liked my first visit with you and todayโs coffee was delicious. And I hope that this review will not be considered by you as a complaint, but will give you a reason to pay attention to this and I hope to review some menu items and improve it for the better. This was also voiced to the waitress, but from her reaction it was clear that she was unlikely to convey to the management everything that I had in mind. She suggested contacting the manager, but I...
ย ย ย Read moreFood was ok, service was terrible. We ordered two things a tomato and scrambled eggs and an Armenian pizza. Our waitress was not the best and only came around every 20-25 min or so when there was only 1 other person in the restaurant. The tomatoes and scrambled eggs came in about 25 minutes but we kept waiting for the Armenian pizza for about an hour. When we finally flagged down the waitress she told us there oven was broken. Why would she not tell us this when we ordered or when the oven broke??? She said it would only be 15 min more. We waited another 30 min and just decided to cancel. When we asked she said her manager was not allowing us to cancel the order since the food would be out in 3 minutes as he said. We waited another ten minutes till they brought us a complementary dessert which had hair on it. We finally went up and told them we needed to cancel and that this wait was ridiculous. The total for only 2 individual size sparkling waters and tomato and scrambled eggs was 35 DOLLARS. For one meal items and two drinks. Food was good but they need to work on the service here
(Response to owner) Thank you for responding. I noticed in all of the negative responses on here and Yelp, there is always a defensive and passive aggressive comment. Do you not think we mentioned the hair to anyone? Please donโt patronize your customers and clearly there is a common complaint about the service of this place. Any good business owner would take the constructive feedback and improve in that area. This is not a personal attack but when your customer comes in and pays for something, there is an...
