Panera Bread — Restaurant in Glendale

12/7/21: There's nowhere to set a refill mug (menu item offered) in the men's room, so I have to balance it on the soap dispenser while washing my hands. Today it fell and created quite the spill-. I appreciated management's kind response when I let them know about my fumble. Also they have a female worker who seems to really enjoy her job: she always makes rounds to genuinely greet everyone dining in. I appreciate that too, it welcomes feedback.

10/6/21: The management here seems to listen to feedback. They're wiping tables down much more often, and sweeping the floors. I'm impressed, and the location is being kept pretty clean. Thank you. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

9/27/21: Meh the men's restroom could still use improvement. I've increased to ⭐⭐⭐⭐ because the GM handled my order today and he offered great hospitality. He was welcoming and enthusiastic, and I've seen this on other visits while addressing others. There was no wait to order, and I see plenty of people here today working, yet they weren't standing around either. From my retail mgmt days, I'd want him working for me.

8/26/21: Men's urinal still gross, but hey the tables seemed to be wiped down today! Small victories 🙏🏻.

8/17/21: 3 weeks later and the urinal is still gross although they added a urinal cake. I don't get how someone is willing to reach in there and do that but they don't wipe things down with disinfectant.

Previously I said the restaurant was kept in good order. I've paid more attention and when I get here around 4pm a few times a week, all of the tables have been used and not wiped down. It's reasons like this during a pandemic that they have to implement inconvenient tier systems (red vs purple etc) restricting people from eating out. Whether they agree with it or not, why don't people understand this?

There's a healthcare school literally across the street where students are taught disinfection and sterilization protocol for surgery all day. 😒 __ Previous Review 3 weeks earlier: The people here are respectful, and fast with accurate service. They don't properly clean the men's restroom though, specifically the urinal. My home is very dusty (it's old) so I know that this film of dusty nastiness isn't just from a day or two. And there's really not a way to fault of the customers for it. I still feel stereotyped in today's age so I'll say: 'sure we're men,' but that doesn't mean we all live like we're still in a college fraternity. I have pride in this community, and the rest of this restaurant location is quite polished, there's no dust anywhere, the air vents are even clean, so I'd really like this to be improved. If it gets cleaned by next week when I'm routinely here, I'll raise my review to 5 stars, remove the urinal photos, and replace them with some that show how clean the restaurant is that day out of...

okay, so we've been going to panera bread a lot recently because the food is healthy and when done right its actually good. the last four trips have been as follows:

ordered a half sandwich and salad, received the full sandwich and no salad. ordered ove rthe phone for pickup, assumed there was a misunderstanding. there was no pastry in the bag. my fault I guess for not checking?

next trip, same order. came home and found out that the flatbread half sandwich was a bacon avacado or some other garbage i didnt order. it wasnt even close. went back to get it fixed, they gave a full instead of half sandwich to make it up. whatever. the drive sucks. this was ordered on phone. we decided to order online from now on to avoid the over the phone confusion.

next trip, ordered an asiago steak sandwich (full) with extra horseradish sauce, a half chicken flatbread sandwich, and a thai salad with no chicken. ordered online. indicated no chicken on the salad. salad had chicken on it. extra sauce was in a little cup on the side where i'd have to spread it on the sandwich myself. really confusing. even online ordering, they still dont get it right. at least we could pick the chicken out of the salad and it would be fine.

today, ordered a full asiago steak sandwich. it had no horseradish sauce on one side (wtf?) and the other side had no steak. somebody did this on purpose, there's absolutely no reason not to have the sauce over the entire sandwich. ordered cookie, paid for it (on receipt) and not included in the bag, same with the other pastry.

this place has chronic issues getting your order correct if you get takeout. every time we sit there it's fine though. my advice is, if you dont have time to sit there and eat at this location, dont bother ordering at all because they get it wrong and you'll wind up driving back without fail. we have been going here for months now and they are waaaaay below 50% success rate on getting the order right the first time. am i really supposed to pick apart my sandwich at the cashier to make sure it has the right toppings? this place is ridiculous and it's a shame because when done right the food is actually...

Have a real problem...used the toilet today at this bakery. .. while I was washing my hands... employees were using the restroom and then leaving without washing their hands...I seen the same thing happening at all of the local Hemet Starbucks , and taco bell, and yesterday at this PopEye chicken on the other side of Arby's...These younger employees, heck I take that back...the older management too...have very poor toilet habits...

After I meantion their not washing for 30 seconds as suggested, they just glared at me and walked out giggling....

I have witnessed a good deal of ugliness in my life but this situation is well out of hand..

These young men at Panera Bread told me, "Sir if our hygiene is a problem, no body is forcing you yo eat here..." And you know what..thats not the first time I have received a simular answer...and more to the point, these young employees are absolutely right...

For the same money, I can upgrade my kitchen with a new espresso machin, air fryer, insta pot, broiler, and home inventory...and cook my own food much better..

Its best to go buy your favorite fresh foods, and take an hour at home where your family's good health habits are in practice, and cook your own meals, pour you own beverages, and brew your own coffee ☕ or green tea...this COVID19/SAR/H1N1 are all still running rappid...

The toilet, the sinks, the urinals the floor are filthy... another thing..these places use the same mop in the restroom, dinning areas, and kitchen..the doors dont get wiped down, het, even the driver-thur area are not being cleaned.. A few of employees told me they were overwhelmed, overwhelmingly over worked, and the equipment was not working...
