Aubergine Private Dining Club — Restaurant in Grandview Heights

My family recently celebrated my father-in-law's 90th birthday. Colin, the owner/chef at Aubergine was very attentive when booking our reservation, taking into consideration our dietary needs as well as food preferences. When we arrived, we were happily greeted by Levi the general manager and well informed sommelier. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with eclectic artwork. Levi took us on a tour explaining the history behind each of the pieces. He even brought us to the kitchen where we met the chefs! Aubergine has tremendous ambience due to its' eclectic lighting and unique style. Our dinner was exquisite. The food was outstanding-beautifully presented and exquisitely prepared. Before each course, our highly skilled chef Marja approached the table and enthusiastically explained the preparation as well as ingredients in each of the dishes.You could tell how proud she was of her work and how happy she was that we were there enjoying her amazing food. Our experience at Aubergine exceeded our expectations...

Some of the top dining experiences of my life have been at Aubergine. It's a private membership club, and clearly not everyone reviewing it understands what that entails. Aubergine has never - in close to six years of membership - failed to deliver on a unique and exquisite dining experience. We have not only had some of the best food we've ever tasted, but also some of the best laughs and the most memorable nights. We have made new friends at Aubergine, and also had some of our most romantic and special solo evenings there. The current chef is nothing short of amazing with food pairings I wouldn't even dream of that are perfect and delectable. And the owner has treated us like family since the first time we met. If you don't know about or haven't looked into Aubergine, I highly recommend it. It is our one and only go-to for anything from a needed respite from the week or the most special...

What an experience!

I asked Colin to put together a great evening for a party of 8 foodies to celebrate my wife's birthday. Colin took care of everything with minimal input from me. Levi served us excellent cocktails at the bar upon arrival, after which we hung out on the patio sofas along Grandview Ave. Dinner was served on the patio at our request, which was a creative procession of delicious courses prepared by Chefs Maria and Colin, and served by the whole team with a personal and easy going feel. We were invited to mingle everywhere, and so were hanging out with other diners, and even back in the kitchen at the end of the night!

This was an excellent special event for our occasion, and while we are already planning our next event with Aubergine, we are also going to make it a regular stop for us going forward. Easily one of our favorites...
