A Grandview favorite of mine with a huge assortment of unique ice cream flavors and flavors that accommodate a wide range of dietary restrictions including gluten-free, nut free, and dairy free. The space is rather cozy which may make it difficult for wheelchair users to completely navigate. The line to order itself is rather narrow when chairs are pushed away from the wall and though the bathroom is completely accessible once inside the space provided to reach the bathroom is too slim for any wheelchair. This may pose an issue for those with mobility disabilities. There is also a lack of handicap buttons entering and exiting the establishment. Other than that, there is plenty of accessible seating including a rounded nook with a table low enough for a wheel chair user to pull right up with tons of outdoor seating with lower set tables. Though decorated with color and lights, I found that it was very clean, quiet and far from overwhelming for individuals with sensory disabilities. The staff was friendly and attentive at all moments as well! Hope this helps anyone who...
Read moreApplied here for a job after coming and getting ice cream as I admired the cleanliness of the store and the attitude of the people working here. However, after CONTINUALLY trying to reach out about the interview they wanted me to come in for, the manager of this store completely forgot and left me hanging.
If you are looking to work here DO NOT APPLY.
Not only did they mess up the email they sent me which was supposed to have details about setting up an interview, I had to call SEVERAL of the Columbus stores to have them help me get into contact with this store. I had a phone interview with the manager of this store and she said she would be in contact with me soon about scheduling an in-person interview. I was never contacted again. The lack of respect I received for my time was astounding, and I will CERTAINLY never recommend this store to anyone looking to get ice cream or anyone who is looking for work. On top of that, they pay $10.10 /hr for people starting out when nearly every other job in Columbus have hourlies starting...
Read moreI had one of the best, if not the best ice cream sundaes ever here. With their fresh made waffle cone pieces and their real melted fudge. It had something like German chocolate cake in it with drunken cherries in that. It was amazing. But then we never saw it there again. I love the place, we used to go back in our poor college days at the one and only original location in short north. But it becomes less recognizable and more generic of a place every time we make the trip out there. They ended up having to give up a lot of the more personal details in order to now mass produce for all of the other locations. But I guess that is corporate America for you. We now don't make a point to stop at a Jeni's when we are in town anymore. From the small crowded locations to not knowing if the selection may be a little too "special" for the kids, we just end up going elsewhere. But I would definitely still recommend it for people who are visiting and a...
