Stauf's Coffee Roasters — Restaurant in Grandview Heights

I usually love Staufs Coffee. They do have good drinks, but my last few experiences have been very bad. A few months ago, I had to have them re-make my vanilla latte (What I would imagine is a drink they make all the time) 3 times. I finally had to ask for a different person to make it. I'm not a coffee guru either, but it was seriously bad. Today my husband and I went and I ordered a pumpkin spice latte. We noticed gnats flying around in their case that has scones, muffins, etc. I mentioned to my husband that my mom has told them multiple times that she really thinks they should fix that issue. As we looked in there, sure enough, all of the food was covered in gnats. Anyway, my husband got tea (so basically a cup of hot water and you add your own tea bag) and his was really good. I drank mine while driving home and was enjoying it until I felt something in my mouth after taking a sip. I looked to see what it was and it was a HUGE gnat or small fly. When I called, I was on hold for about 15 minutes waiting to speak to a manager and when I told him about it, he didn't respond at first. So I asked if he was still on the line and he said "well, thanks for bringing that to my attention". I asked him "Are you going to do anything about this?" and he said "You can come back in and we'll get you a new latte". I told him I didn't want anything else from Staufs again and I called so that the issue of bugs would be taken care of. He didn't say anything else so I hung up. I am very unpleased with Staufs lately, and I don't understand how they are always so busy with how it's been lately. Their baristas aren't very friendly either. This place has the best coffee! If you're looking for a place that focuses on really good quality coffee instead of really good syrups to add to pretty mediocre coffee, then you need to try this place.

They have a pretty simple coffee menu. There's the standard pour over, drip coffee, Cappuccino, latte, espresso, Etc. and then they have maybe 2 or three sugary "dessert coffees". Even the "dessert coffees", you can tell, have high quality coffee in them. They don't hide behind the other ingredients. The flavor of the coffee still breaks through all the other ingredients.

They also have very good food. I usually go when they have the breakfast menu open. I recommend a bagel sandwich.

If you don't want coffee now but need to stock up on some beans at home then this is the place! They have about 15-20 barrels of different types of beans. Admittedly, their coffee beans are a little more expensive than a bag of beans you'd get at the store. (About $14-$18 per pound) but I think it's worth it.

Stauf's is one of my favorite coffee shops in Columbus! There are so many great options of food and drinks to choose from. They are accommodating to people with dietary restrictions as they have alternative milk options available and vegetarian and gluten free options. Physically, there is a parking lot directly behind Stauf's that connects through to the front of the building and the path is completely flat, making it accessible. There are also some parking spots in front of Staufs on the street and ramps available to get onto the sidewalk. There is a slight incline to get into the through the door, but there is a ramp to get inside. The doorway and walkways between tables can be tight, which makes the space difficulty to navigate if an individual is using a wheelchair, crutches, walker, cane, or another form of assistance to move about the space. The menu is posted behind the counter in large font. The staff at Stauf's are always kind and happy to help if a customer would need help reading the menu or getting their drink or another item. While the space does present some potential accessibility issues, the staff are very kind and would do their best to create accommodations. I highly recommend Stauf's...
