Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in Greeley

(This review reflects today's Greeley CO visit only) I usually LOVE me some Freddy's! Love their hot dogs, fries and fry sauce in particular... Stopped in today and ordered just that! At the condiment section, the relish goes under the hot dogs but the hot dog was already in the bun. So, I watched them set the hot dogs aside, right on the counter, while they applied the relish. I asked for a manager and queried if it was common practice to just set meat directly on the counter. He asked which counter. I indicated it was the counter with all the spilled stuff (lettuce, onions, etc., I assume) all over it. At this point I knew I wasn't going to eat the hot dogs, the only question was if this was standard practice or not. He replied that the counter was sprayed with disinfectant and wiped off every 10 minutes or so. I shuddered and indicated that it was gross at that moment. He apologized and walked off so I left and had me one of the yummiest Qdoba burritos I have had in a LONG time! To their credit, Freddy's always seems impeccable, I must have just caught it at a bad time when it still seemed acceptable to the manager on duty. We eat here often and usually the food is good. Buns normally seem pretty fresh and fries are hot and crispy. But this time we came, it happened to be on a Wednesday night, which is apparently family night and the place was pretty busy. We waited a good while for our food and when they called our number, the buns we dry and crumbling apart and the fries were not done. My wife had a good bit of greasy squishy fries. The buns also looked like that had been gone over with a rolling pin. Every other time, the food and service is amazing but this time not so much. I don’t know if it is because of the family night making the place super busy and staff is just rushing to get orders out without consideration to producing Quality service and product or what. I miss my old location in Westminster. Their app sucks. When I came in and asked why there was special parking for mobile orders, I was told, "Well, that's just where you would park and then come in to get your food. Oh, and, you can go through the drive through to pick up if we aren't busy." No, you can't go through. Well, the email and in the app specifically says NOT to and there isn't an option on their app. The girl I talked to had ZERO answers for me, got really flustered and had no idea what to do. The employees know nothing about what's going on with the app and they lack professionalism. I can't see myself coming as frequently as I used to when we lived in Westminster. I liked the location down south...
