Went on a whim because we were looking to try it, since it's new. Had about a 15-20 min wait for a 2-top on a Friday night. Not bad at all considering the place was super packed. Our server recommended the Peach House Margarita ($8). I didn't expect it to be more salty than sweet (I was drinking from the straw, not from the salt rim). It also didn't have a very strong peach flavor. My fiance was born & raised in the South, and was not impressed with the sweet tea, that was sweetened, but barely. We ordered the entree and shared it: the 4oz pulled pork & 4oz roast chicken, and 2 sides (onion straws ($1 upcharge) & sweet potato casserole), then added on a small side of cornbread for $4 which was only one slice of cornbread. The meats were tender and delicious. The BBQ sauces and condiments on the table were also quite flavorful. We were accidentally given baked beans instead of our sweet potato casserole, so we got to try that out, and still given our proper side. All of the sides, sans onion straws, were a little extra on the sweet side. The overall dining experience left something to be desired. Keeping in mind that the room was totally packed on a busy Friday night, but there's nothing that can help buffer the sound more. The ceiling is open rafters to try to help, but the rest of the walls and decor is corrugated metal or wood, so it's super noisy. Not a good place for a first date or to hold conversation. Last, but not least, the bill. A reminder that we shared a one-person meal, got 1 alcoholic beverage, a sweet tea, and added on one piece of cornbread. It was enough food for us because we added a side, and got one extra (kitchen's mistake). Our bill came to $38, after a 10% military discount, which was only applied to the entree ($1.60 off). Now if that math doesn't feel right for 2 to eat, also notice the otherwise undisclosed "4% for the crew" gratuity(? on a 2-top?) that I can only guess goes to the kitchen staff..? I didn't search the menu for hidden charges, but I don't think you should have to! I would consider doing carry-out because their meats and sauces are delicious. But I wouldn't dine in again .

Hey everyone it's Food Guy here checking out food here and there. This is my follow-up review to Georgia Boys in Greeley colorado. I was lucky enough to come in here during their brunch hours. Got to spend some time with the manager going over the changes that they made to their menu items and a couple other things in the restaurant. I was also lucky enough to see the inner workings of the restaurant. And I've got to say how nice it was to see a barbecue place actually using stick instead of pellets to infuse the smoke into our food. They're using old school techniques with new School Technology I found that to be very Nice. Im definitely recommending this restaurant. It's going to receive a overall rating of 4.8 ⭐. It is definitely a 5 ⭐ when it comes to Taste, Service, & Atmosphere . The only thing I would have to say negative about it would be the location. It is a little bit difficult to see from the highway. And the other thing that I would have to say is that there are still a few menu items that are a bit pricey for my wallet, but remember with quality comes price. So don't be afraid to come to this restaurant and spend a little bit for really good meal. Georgia Boys restaurant in Greeley Colorado is definitely worth the trip. Keep a lookout for my other reviews as I will be doing reviews on their other two locations in Frederick and Longmont Colorado Let me know your thoughts on this restaurant I'm always interested in hearing other reviews. ✨✨✨ I have been a foodie for years. Giving restaurant reviews all over. I am happy to say this restaurant gets a Overall rating of 4.5 ⭐ Atmosphere 4 5 Location 3.8 Service & Manager 5.0 Food/Taste/Appearance 4.8 Price 3.0 I highly recommend this restaurant. Great food Great service. The food really hit the spot. But beware of the $$$ 4.5⭐ Overall FOODGUY Checking out food here and there 👍

Ever had dreams as broken as a dry BBQ joint? Well, let me regale you with the tale of my pilgrimage to Georgia Boys BBQ in Greeley, CO. Nearly a year ago, I stumbled upon this BBQ haven and was met with the juiciest St. Louis style pork ribs known to humankind. Tender, smoky, and so good they could make a grown person weep (or maybe that was just the smoke in my eyes). Fast forward to my recent return, my belly growling with anticipation, and I made the bold move to try ‘The Barnyard’—a combo of chicken, brisket, and pulled pork. Alas! What was presented to me looked less like a barnyard feast and more like a desert mirage. Dry. So dry, in fact, that the Sahara would have seemed like a waterpark in comparison. I soldiered on, attempting to drown the arid disaster in sauce, but even my bravest bites felt like a chewing marathon through the barren wasteland of flavor. When I finally surrendered, defeated and desiccated, I summoned the waiter. She, bless her heart, was as sweet as peach cobbler and apologetic as if she’d personally caused the Great BBQ Drought. Then, in a twist of fate akin to rubbing salt on a brisket wound, the manager appeared. Surveying the scene of my BBQ tragedy, she agreed that the meat looked as desolate as a forgotten cowpoke on the prairie. Her solution? A princely deduction of $5 from my $20 misadventure. So here I am, pondering the cosmic quandary: Will I ever muster the courage to venture back into the smoke-filled realm of Georgia Boys? Only time, and perhaps a sudden craving for BBQ-induced hardship, will tell.

My brother and I have been on a Smokin Dave's kick, but decided to try this place as they have pork belly, while the other place does not.

The Good:

-The pork belly was delicious and melts in your mouth. The bourbon mixture was different but good. -The ribs were amazing. Great amount of bark on them, very smokey, and fall off the bone tender. They paired very well with the ghost pepper BBQ sauce. Best ribs I've had in a long time.

The Not So Good:

-The price is kind of high. My brother and I both got the triple meat deal which has potential to be a good value, but unfortunately isn't really in practice. You have to pay extra for certain meats. I believe it was an extra $5 for the brisket and an extra $8 for a 1/2 slab of ribs. Which is a bit ridiculous considering the base price is already like $30.

-You do get two sides with the triple, but they weren't especially good. The baked beans were uninspired and seemingly straight from a can and pretty bland. Nothing special at all. They tasted a bit better after adding some BBQ sauce. The mac n cheese wasn't very good and I only ended up having one bite. I prefer Velveeta to it. The Texas toast was a bit of a joke. It was maybe a hair thicker than standard sandwich bread. Didn't appear to have any butter on it. I don't really get the appeal of having it with this meal. Maybe it would be better with the option for garlic bread style. But generally I'd prefer if the default was cornbread instead.

-Considering the price and upcharge for certain meats, the portion size is pretty small. I got the brisket and was given about 3 bites worth. For an extra $5 I should have gotten several times that amount. The pork belly was a bit light on the portion size as well, maybe 6 little cubes, but at least that one doesn't cost extra. The ribs, despite them being delicious, were pretty lean and require an $8 up charge. The amount given for the price overall makes it hard to justify the experience.

Conclusion:

I would come back for the ribs and pork belly, but considering the price for the portions you get, it won't be very frequently. While the ribs were better here, I'd overall recommend going to Smokin Dave's instead. You get way more food for the money, no up charge for certain meats, and the individual items are...

It struck me as strange that Georgia Boys BBQ opened up in the location where a different BBQ restaurant had just failed and had to close down that location... but then I went in and tried this new Georgia Boys BBQ, and immediately understood why they would choose to try to do the same thing in the same place that others had already failed. IT'S GREAT FOOD. Worlds better than the previous restaurant that stood in its place, and I was a fan of that place when it was there. Clearly, I did not know then what I was missing. Now I know that I gave the food 4 out of 5 stars in my review above, but that it not a reflection of the food quality, but only a lack of any seafood options on the menu. Salmon, walleye, even just trout makes for a great dish if you have the option to have it smoked, and I was a little disappointed that there were no smoked seafood options on the menu. However, all of the items on the menu which are offered, I would rate at 5 stars for flavor. The service, however, left absolutely no room for disappointment. Our server was a gentleman named Mark, and in all my years of dining out, I have never had a server so completely on point. This guy came up with outside-the-box ways to accommodate slightly off-menu requests by 2/3 of the table, and he did it on the spot without so much as a wince. Honestly even if it were me, at some point I would've had at least a small subtle groan in me for some of our parties' requests, or timing, etc. But not Mark. The guy just exuded professionalism and excellence the entire time, and never slowed down. And it was the end of the night! The guy must've exhausted, but he never showed it or let on, if he was. Just top marks for Mark. I will definitely bring my family back there even if they never ever offer any seafood options on the menu, just for the absolutely awesome service we received with Mark. My entire family walked out of that place all saying the same thing, "Man, that guy was like the best server I've ever seen! Did anyone catch his name?" Well, thankfully my brother-in-law DID catch his name, so I am making a special point of leaving a glowing review for the best server any of us have ever had before. (And should he end up owning the place someday, maybe he can add a couple of seafood options to the...

Unfortunately had a bad experience. Arrived at 5:45 and checked in for a party of 14 (8 of which were kids). Was seated by 5:55 which was pleasantly surprising.

Ordered drinks and apps, those arrived, rest of the party arrived, ordered their drinks, those came as well. Then we waited at least 15 minutes before a different waitress came back and took our orders. Finally, its 7:05 and we still don't have our food, after the waitress said she was bringing out the salads before the rest of the food (never happened), and she said they were rushing the kids meals so the kids' food would be out first.

As we got up to leave they were coming over with some of the kids' food, which most of us explained that we were tired of waiting and left, but some of the party stayed to pay for the drinks, apps, and got their food to-go.

In the time we were there, a group of 7 were sat near us, ordered, brought their food, ate it, paid, and left with their leftovers before we even had salads brought out (they never came). So the issue wasn't the speed of the kitchen. I may be wrong, but the employee that ended up 'taking over' our table appeared to be the hostess, since she sat two tables before us, including us, and she didn't have any sort of server apron on. I can't confirm if she had any other tables herself, but don't believe she did.

Overall, just a bad experience, and waiting over an hour for food to still not be brought out was simply unnecessary, especially for a bbq joint. We were looking forward to what we had ordered, but that food still wasn't ready by the time we left.

Update: the party that stayed was offered their food for free. My wife went back to check on them and the server asked if we wanted ours as well, to which she declined. We were given apologies by our original waitress, as well as the manager, but the new 'waitress' gave those that were still there attitude during all of those final interactions. Changing rating to 3 stars because of how the situation was rectified, however it confirms that the service was the point of contention and the missed responsibilities by that individual was the sole cause...
