Greeley Colorado, Called Texas Roadhouse and was placed on the waiting list for 6 adults and 1 child. Got there and checked in. 5 minutes later got a text saying we were up. Spoke to hostess she said our table was being wiped down and prepared. Several groups of at least 7 people came up and were seated. Waited 10 minutes spoke again to the girl she said they were waiting for the prior group of people to leave. More people came up and were seated. Waited 15 minutes my daughter went up the girl said it would be a few minutes more. Several more people showed up and were seated after 20 minutes I went up and asked why others were being seated before us and she became very rude. I asked to speak to a manager. The manager looked into it and got upset with the girl, she said there was a misunderstanding on the girls part and we should have been seated a long time ago. After an hour of waiting we were finally seated. A different manager came up and apologized for the problem and he offered us two free appetizers we thanked him. We placed our orders and when our drinks and appetizers were delivered we noticed the server was not very polite she had a definite problem with us. It took awhile for our food. My son , daughter and daughter-in-law were in shock when they saw our food being carried by the same girl that brought our drinks. She was carrying the food low and a waitress with long hair was standing with her back to us and the server ran our food underneath the waitresses hair. Her hair brushed over all the food steaks and all. The waitress felt it and spun around, her hair got gravy on it. The server proceeded to deliver our food. My son, daughter and daughter-in-law brought it to the servers attention and once again she was very impolite. We asked to speak to a manager she gave us an irritated look and walked away never saying one single word not even apologizing. We refused to eat the food it was gross and a long hair was on one of the plates. We told the manager that we felt like it was done on purpose. We told him that we were not comfortable eating there and were going to leave. He said that they could remake our food, we refused to stay. He made no attempt to regain our trust in the establishment. He didn't offer any other remedies to correct a very disappointing night of poor customer service and a lack of consideration for our time. When we left the server and the hostess were talking and both gave us dirty looks. They were acting very immature. We were celebrating my grandsons early birthday. It was to late to get a sit down meal so we had to settle for blan take out food.
(Funny how they respond to everyone else's post but mine. Great customer service (not) no wonder the employees are so rude. Management don't care enough to reach out and make it right. Not even an...
Read moreChicken Critters. A simple idea. Home style battered chicken fingers, fried to perfection. But they are so much more than that. I was born in Greeley Colorado, and this Texas Roadhouse has been a setting in my life for a as long as I can remember. Because of the costly nature of Texas Roadhouse, my family would go there to celebrate! Birthdays! Graduations! Anniversaries! All sorts of wonderful days highlighted with a family meal, always with Chicken Critters at Texas Roadhouse. Flash Forward The year is 2021 and I haven't been out to eat for a while because of Covid and financial issues. But for Valentine's day me and my girlfriend decided to go to Texas Roadhouse, and get their delightful Chicken Critters. Life was been very difficult for us in 2020. Work has been overwhelming l, and money has been tight. My life has been filled with more defeats than victory's lately. But when I sat down to and ordered my Chicken Critters I knew that everything was going to be alright, at least for a little while. The staff was friendly and atmosphere was just like I remembered. My mind went back to my childhood, eating wonderful Chicken Critters with my family, before everything hurt.
The waiter brought out my dish, and I immediately knew that something was terribly wrong. The Chicken Critters looked like Popeyes Chicken strips. I do enjoy Popeyes Chicken strips, but they are in a different league than the succulent Critters. I went in for a bite and discovered that they were soggy to the touch, like dollar store chicken fingers. I took a bite. A piece a of me died with that bite. A nostalgic comfortable part of me, a piece I can never get back. I didn't want to ruin the Valentine's day dinner. My girlfriend deserves a lovely evening, not to mention the whole meal would end up costing us $50 with the drinks and appetizer. So I did what all adults do. I put on a mask. A happy and kind mask. But underneath the mask lied a man that knew that he will never taste Chicken Critters again. The taste of family comforts and good times would remain a stranger to this man for the rest of his days. A man that knew that corporate penny pinching had probably killed one of his favorites to save a few cents. A man that knew that his children would grow up in a world without Chicken Critters.
The waiter returned and asked if everything was okay.. I was dumbstruck, what do say? Do I try and convey my complex feelings of wrongdoing and defeat? Or do I let the happy mask man do the talking? After some thought, I let the mask do the talking. The waiter was a man like me. A man whose world has become cold and grey, much like the new "Chicken Critters".
I will not be returning to Texas Roadhouse. And my life is worse for it.
Please Bring back classic...
Read moreCalled ahead for my birthday for a 5 pm arrival. 10 in our group.I figured if we came before the dinner rush, we would be fine. It started hailing when we were in our way so traffic backed up quickly. My son, who was there waiting on us, texted me saying if we are not there by 5:10 they will give our table away! Everyone arrived at 5:08 & we waited another 20 minutes to be seated and not even together, which was very frustrating! I noticed a bigger table that could fit all of us so we weren't separated and Jen the Manager said the server for that table won't arrive for another 15 minutes. We are welcome to sit there but we would not be helped until the server arrived for their shift. Not sure why our current server couldn't just move to that table. Why did she make it seem so difficult? When our food came out, 3 of our steaks were raw! I get it that these things happen and of course they came back with steaks better cooked. I was just already frustrated from not sitting together and the way it was handled. I felt the Manager should have been a little more attentive to everything not gong right for us since we walked in the door! I wasn't going to write a review about our visit until they sat down another separated party next to us. The girl was almost in tears. I heard her say to her husband. "I don't ever get to see my sister" Had I known they were going to separate us, we would have went somewhere else. Managers, please remember when we pick YOUR place to dine with OUR families. Don't assume its OK to separate us! At least ask us if we want to wait a little longer, so we can sit together!
Our server was AMAZING! He should be...
