If I could give no stars, I would. I went to the Red Lobster in Greensboro, NC, this past Tuesday to celebrate passing my medical boards. They were offering Crabfest and the all you can eat shrimp. Upon arrival, we were first in a line of about four. The restaurant was nearly empty, and it was roughly 5:30ish. There was no one at the host stand, and it took over fifteen minutes to seat us. After finally sitting, it took another fifteen minutes before our waitress even acknowledged us. While she was taking our drink order, she was interrupting us to stop and talk to her friends. Upon returning with a water for me (I was waiting for my Lobster Punch beverage), a water for my mother, she proceeds to tell my son that the Sprite machine is out; she tells him she will bring him a Sprite once it's fixed. Another twenty minutes goes by. My drink still hasn't arrived, and either has my son's. Instead our waitress is talking to her friends...again. She brings a water finally to my son along with my drink; still hasn't changed out the syrup box for the Sprite, and hasn't asked if my son would want anything different. She ask for our order, but we get interrupted again so she can gossip and talk to her friends about her new hair. When my mom orders the all you can eat shrimp, she tells our waitress she wants to begin with the coconut shrimp. The waitress says they're out. She doesn't suggest anything different, doesn't offer an apology - nothing. The waitress doesn't tell us at the beginning that they are out of anything. I order the bairdi crab and request to add additional pounds of crab. The waitress said she would check on it, and another fifteen minutes goes by, but she has yet again time to socialize with her friends. We had been there over an hour, yet her friends came in twenty minutes after us and already had their drinks and food. The waitress finally returns and said they can't add additional pounds without charging for the entire meal. That's the first time Red Lobster has ever told me that in all the years I've been eating there. She leaves to go socialize with her friends again. The elderly couple behind us, who was there before us still didn't have their food, and they told us they were there for two hours already. The waitress never return to our table. We were there for over an hour and fifteen minutes and never received our food. I left money for the alcoholic drink on the table, and we left. I could have at least attempted empathy had the restaurant been busy, but it was empty. The service was horrendous, and we're treated as if we did not matter. She was rude, unfriendly, lazy, and just a horrible waitress. I will never spend a dime at the Greensboro Red Lobster again, or any Red Lobster for that matter, since this is apparently the "quality" that Red Lobster is hiring at their establishments. The manager was in the dining room as well, and he did nothing after looking at our table and the elderly...
Read moreWaitress Keiona was horrible. We had 5 adults and we all did endless shrimp. She kept rushing off after one or two people said they had wanted to order more endless shrimp. She would walk off after just one person would say something she wouldn't wait for anyone else to order anything else. I wanted more food and someone had to get her for me and she ignored my family member who had to get her to acknowledge that I wanted more food and she like acted all annoyed when she had to turn around from talking to the other waitress that she'd be talking to the whole time we were there. I'm pregnant so it would've been nice to have gotten more food than I did that night. I actually threw my whole dinner up and went back and left starving due to her being super unattentive. We had plates on the table in front of me for over an hour that did still have pasta on it but I couldn't eat it because I got nauseous so I ate the other thing on the plate and couldn't barely eat the broccoli due to it being on top of the honey and whatever the spicy shrimp it is that they have. The spicy shrimp for endless shrimp they have had wayyy too much honey on it. We barely ever got our drinks refilled until someone spoke up even though our drinks were empty. Seemed like she was super pushy to get us out of there because on endless shrimp she gave my stepdad extras which I thought was weird because he had 3 bowls of scampi on the plate instead of 1 or 2, I viewed it as her trying to get us out of there because of how unattentive she was the whole meal on my mother's birthday. By the time we left we had 15 cups on the table because she wouldn't get any off the table. She kept walking off and talking to two other waitresses. I paid for my meal it was about 24 dollars. I paid $40.00 with two 20s and had to ask where my change was from another waitress because it had been a good 10 minutes and the one waitress Keiona had walked off with my change. I would say if anyone gets her to get another waitress or to check your change before you leave the restaurant. The picture is what I had in front of me the whole meal besides the plate on the right the small plate and it's also a small preview of how many cups was on the table. I was going to order dessert but I ended up not doing so due to the...
Read moreOkay, so where to start. We waited over 20 minutes to be seated, but that wasn’t bad because that’s typical waiting time for a weekend visit to any restaurant. I figured they were short staffed when our server seated us instead of normal hostesses. Our server was so sweet. She was a doll and she made the experience better. However, this location was extremely under staffed. So much so that my parents and I waited for over 20 minutes for an appetizer and over an hour for our food. After that hour, our server dropped our food on her way to our table. In her defense, the location was already under staffed and she immediately went back and put the order in again. As I said, she was amazing. Furthermore, we still had to continue to wait on our food and the manager only allowed her to offer us free dessert. I personally don’t think that suffices considering that the manager didn’t properly evaluate the needs of the business. Also, the manager walked around to various tables to ask different customers if their food got dropped, but only came to our table when our waitress came back. Another woman with a notepad also came from the back with a notepad and said nothing to us, I assumed she was also a manager. I say all of that to say, it is a Friday night and they have no servers and clearly no cooks. Their servers are extremely over worked and have to rush in order to please their customers. It isn’t fair to their customers nor their employees. Please properly staff this location, this very much so could’ve been avoided. After waiting for an hour and a half, my parents decided it was time to leave. We never got our entrees and are now searching for a McDonald’s. Needless to say, despite our server being as nice and apologetic as she was, we will not be returning and if you’re smart, you will go to the Logan’s down the street or even the Apple Bees across the street. Perhaps even Publix to buy your own seafood and make it...
