We ordered the soup. One bowl was heavy with broth and the other light with broth and heavy with corn. Presentation was poor for a high-end restaurant such as this. The soup was warm at best. My husband sent his back as a result of that and found a hard piece of chicken or bacon in his. I ordered the peach cobbler for dessert, and it was hugely disappointing! It was mostly breading with only 4 teeny tiny pieces of peach & was hardly warmed! The ice cream didn't even melt. Don't waste your money on the peach cobbler. I asked our server to please share the constructive criticism with the kitchen. Our server had white streaks all over his black uniform shirt. He shouldn't have been allowed to serve, looking so disheveled. Take pride in your appearance, for goodness sake, if you're working in this environment. The gentleman running food to the tables from the kitchen was balancing too many plates against his body, and they were tipping all over the place. If the kitchen had taken pride in the appearance of the food before it left the kitchen, he ruined it. Not to mention, I wouldn't want to eat food that's been rubbing on his shirt or sleeve. I expected more for my money from the whole staff and from the quality of the food. This restaurant has been in business long enough that it should flow like a well-oiled machine by now. It seems each time we visit (maybe 1-2 times a year over the past several years), they'd have gotten it together but have been disappointed every time. There are plenty of other restaurants near the Peace Center, and we encourage you to spend your money elsewhere. Genevieve's is a letdown despite its...
Read moreThis was my 1st and last time here....I Guess I Blended in with the background...I arrived here at the restaurant before the concert. I was seated at a window seat I wasn't there long maybe 3 min, but then 2 women walked and sat down and immediately the server went to their table. I got up to advise the manager, Chris, that I was seated before those ladies and he proceeded to tell me that I've only been waiting a couple of minutes and he asked if I wanted him to have the server attend to my table now and I said yes.... well the server continued speaking with the ladies that "did not blend in with the dark decor"
I realize the wait was not long, but it is the principal.... any way I advised the server that I was just about to leave to have dinner elsewhere and he said, "that's fine" so I politely removed myself and proceeded to leave. I stopped by the host's stand to relay to Chris, the manager, my conversation with the server, and Chris started, "Well it seems that you were giving him attitude and if you'd like to leave that's fine". I did. So I am here right across the street at Paloma, being treated with the respect I deserve.
I'd like to thank Chris for showing me that this establishment has no regard for true customer service and for motivating me to venture out to a different establishment that understands "real customer service".
If you do decide to go to this establishment and you happen to blend in with the decor make sure you ask Chris to notify a server to...
Read moreThis restaurant was convenient. We just scanned our tickets when we came in, so we could just go to the show. We had a reservation for a private table, and we were seated at a table where multiple parties were to be sat. Our waitress came to our table, and she took our orders on her iPad. The waitress typed slowly, and the wait was long. I ordered the sliders. The burger bun was greasy, the burger itself looked and tasted like it was pre-made, and the cajun chips were over-salted. The cheese on the slider, was bitter. The meat and cheese plate was good. We asked for desert, and a short five minute wait. That was cool. We never got our Ahi Tuna, and we asked them to take it off our bill. The credit card scanner was faulty, so we had to manually put in all our information, and they said it was our cards that weren't right. We only got the tuna after we left, because the kitchen had lost out first two orders, and we saw it arrive through the glass. Views were excellent, and the decor...
