Group therapy is a fun place in theory, the idea of having set times for adults and families is a great idea to keep a constant flow of people. We played mini golf and had some food, both were fun and good! They even have a stage for people to perform it seems, although the lack of sound proofing in that building will not make it sound good sadly.

My complaints however start here, there is absolutely zero sound damping in the building. So all the acoustics in the building are just bouncing everywhere, adding sound damping to the barren walls would help the experience a lot. As you have to almost scream just to talk to someone next to you.

We scheduled a time to play mini golf at 715, however that appeared to not matter in the slightest as in total between holes we waited at least 45 minutes due to groups being very backed up. The whole point of reservations is to stop this, either make the time between reservations longer or limit the amount of people. There were some groups with 6-8 people.

The last and honestly my biggest gripe is the pricing. $25 per person for mini golf is insane, as are the other game prices. Especially due to the long wait for it. However the biggest issue is the tipping. I always want to fairly tip my waiter/waitress or bartender. However the MANDATORY tipping of percentages based off the total bill cost is insane. There is three options 18%, 22%, and 24%. So not even the custom 15% or 20% are listed nor can you put your own custom amount. They also don’t cash out when you leave, so you drop your wristband into a locked box which they cash out later. So if they messed up your receipt you won’t know until you hopefully get one emailed to you later (which as of writing this 1.5 days later we haven’t gotten one). This means I’m tipping based on the price paid for mini golf as well as food+drinks or if we played any other games. And the only tip worthy service in the place was the bartender making a drink (which was deserved and warranted a tip, which we wanted to tip that specifically but couldn’t) and the person walking around the golf course asking if people needed anything. That was really it.

I think the place in theory is a great idea, but if you want to charge that much. You need to work on scheduling out your games and not forcing people to tip for services that aren’t tip worthy or not forcing people to tip in general. The food was solid and they have a great drink selection, as just a bar/pub it’s solid but as a amusement type place,...

Had a friend from out of town visit us for the weekend. We were looking for something fun to do and I immediately thought of this place. My fiance and I come here all the time to throw axes. It was a Saturday night and it wasn't that crowed. We checked in and were sat at our ax throwing table and were told someone would be over soon. Well fast forward to almost 20 mins later and no one had come to our table yet. I had to hunt down someone to even get our basic drink orders down. She finally came to our table and took our drink orders and gave a generic answer as to why we weren't helped yet. She brought out our waters and then disappeared again. We were hungry and wanted to have a quick bite to eat. My fiance this time had to go find our waitress again to come back to our table. Mind you the whole time he is looking for her the clock is ticking down on our ax throwing game. He finally gets her to come back to our table. And we finally order. When we all got our food everyones was cold. Our waitress had disappeared again. So there was nothing we could do. At this point we were all so hungry that we had no choice but to eat cold food. We couldn't even tell our waitress anything because she never came back to check on us. Our time on our game was up and we were just chilling and talking. Then guess who shows up? Our waitress. We were just so over it all that we said we were good. We decided to just go pay and leave. The next morning I wake up and check my bank statements only to find out I was charged twice for last night. I called today to speak with a manager and he said he had to talk with the gm and she could fix the problem tomorrow. At this point I am livid. We had crappy service and then my card was double charged. All me and my fiance wanted to do was show our friend a good time and it was spent mostly waiting on others and wasting most of our time not throwing axes. Instances like this make you never...

We went there for part of my brother's bachelor party a week before his wedding! All of us had the best time in a long time. It was the first time being there for al of us and it met and exceeded our expectations! The bar staff was super friendly and treated us amazing. They even commented on my brother's "I'm tying the knot, buy me a shot" t-shirt. Now on to the food, the best food you want to have when soaking up alcohol but also having a great time with the bros and getting nice and full before 18 holes of putt putt. We must have ordered all a few items on the food menu...everything was impressive! Group Therapy gives the best experience you'll ever have playing miniature golf. The staff came up to us during mini golf and asked if we wanted or needed anything to drink and that was so nice because we were getting into it and sweating. We're all super competitive. We were kind of loud and it's appreciated that they just let us do our thing and let us have a blast celebrating together. Check out was a breeze. I spent $400+ and it was worth every penny to make this part of the night so memorable...drinks, food, golf...and of course, a generous tip because it was well earned. When we left the owner/manager,Matt, thanked us for coming and I let him know how much of an amazing experience this was and why we were there celebrating and he took my brother back inside and got him a free shot for his bachelor party...what a class act! We were blown away with that experience and have nothing but phenomenal things to say about group therapy. This happening a few months ago but I wanted to let the staff and owner of Group Therapy know that they were a big part of making my brother's special occasion much better than we could have ever imagined. Oh and after the many drinks we had, the bathroom party was hilarious 😂 Thank you again! We'll be...

We were visiting Greenville this weekend and my wife and I had a date night which we spent a couple of hours at Group Therapy Pub & Playground. This is a great venue for an adult night out - we used the self-serve taps, had several cocktails and also had some snacks (we had dinner plans later in the evening). We really had a great time. We played 18-holes of putt-putt and laughed and joked throughout. There was an area at each hole to place our drinks (which we felt were all reasonably priced) and we never felt hurried or rushed. The whole place has a fun vibe and the attention to detail is awesome. I’ve read some of the other reviews and I do not p agree with some of the other negative comments. To me this place is a great “date night” place and while kids are welcome, this doesn’t feel like a kids play date - the movie themes throughout along with the bar and beer and snacks menu really appeal to adults. Either way we had a blast and even noticed that the owner was there cleaning and working and taking pride in his establishment - so we even stopped by to tell him what a great time we had. So my recommendation is to read any negative reviews carefully and try it out yourself - if you are like us, you may just have a really fun evening!

Group Therapy was amazing! It is this cool sports bar, that has wings, pub food, a tap room with over 20 beers on tap, and full bar with amazing cocktails. We went for happy hour which is from 3-6:30 and got buy one get one apps, half priced beer, and $2 off cocktails. This also is THE place to go for Karaoke on Friday nights, and live music on Saturdays. They sometimes do Trivia and Music bingo on the weeknights as well! This also would be a great date night or family friendly activity in the heart of downtown walkable from just about anywhere. Their mini golf putt putt was so unique and fun, their axe throwing and digital projection and auto scoring was unlike any other axe throwing place. Also who knew you could Ice Curl in South Carolina! If you are looking for things to do in the Greenville, SC this is the place to be. Group Therapy would also be the best place for a corporate outing or team builder. They have packages that you can build an experience for your company or team that has food, drinks, and games. Even if you were coming here for a birthday party or bachelor / bachelorette it would be super fun!

So, I’ll start with the not so appealing and I’ll end with the good - The price points are pretty hefty. Basically , the bill for 1.5 hours of “play” ( $25 per person for only 1 hour of “ice curling”, and $20 per person for putt-putt), two appetizers, two fountain sodas and one adult drink was over $150 not including the hospitality tax or non- optional gratuity choices which was the strangest set up I’ve ever seen ( drop your wrist badge into a locker with a predetermined tip %- which means you tip on the overpriced games and taxes , not just the service). For two adults , the overall cost wasn’t worth it , and I can’t imagine how much a family would have to pay. However , if you’re okay with the prices and payment procedures, then there are a few nice elements to the experience: The staff were friendly and accommodating . It is a nice open space , they paid a lot of attention to details with design and layout. We really did enjoy the “ice curling “ game even if it was plastic, and the putt-putt was cute and challenging ( but awkward with the carpet ). .
