Update: 8/31 We returned for Brunch! We met up with friends to celebrate a birthday. I requested to be near the window with a view, and we did have a beautiful view. We had the kindest server named Ashton. Our drinks and our food all came out in a timely manner. Everything was beautifully plated. My two girlfriends and I each caught the avocado toast, added an egg, and it was the perfect breakfast! The guys got the egg and biscuit selection, and it was just delicious! I love that they had a chicken sausage option. We also got a fun espresso martini flight. I would easily go back anytime! The check was very reasonable for what we had. Thanks for a fun celebration!
I visited Juniper for the first time this past weekend. My friends suggested we meet there and have dinner, then walk around downtown Greenville. The location is central and it’s easy to get anywhere, including the Riverwalk. There are a multitude of parking lots and parking garages in the nearby area. The restaurant is beautiful with lemons and a feel of Italy when you depart the elevator. There are silk flowers and neon signs welcoming you in. It’s a very happy energy. I joined my friends and took a look at the cocktail menu. They had some delicious options, and some of them could be turned into nonalcoholic mocktails as well. The menu is short and sweet. I was told it changes seasonally, and they were getting ready to launch the summer menu. We did not have appetizers, but we each got a main course. The presentation was gorgeous! Everyone enjoyed their meal, I did think the portions were a little small for the price. We didn’t stay for dessert as we wanted to try somewhere else. I’m looking forward to returning there to try brunch with a view of the city. I heard the prices are a little more reasonable on Sundays. I do recommend making a reservation, as this is definitely a hotspot in downtown Greenville. If you don’t want to sit at the table, the bar is very generously sized. They do have an outdoor patio, it was too hot when we went, but I look forward to cooler weather and sitting outside. Juniper is at the top of the AC hotel, and has a separate lobby of its own, so you can go straight up to...

I reserved Juniper’s private garden for a very small wedding ceremony — just 8 guests. We paid for exclusive use of the space, along with a dinner reservation at the restaurant. Initially, everything seemed fine. I even met with the manager, who assured us there would be chairs, an arch, and that we could play our own music (although they wouldn't provide the audio). I was very clear and asked multiple times about these details, because they really mattered to me.
Four days before the wedding, I tried to reach out to increase the reservation to 10 people, as a few family members were finally able to attend. I called, emailed, sent texts and voice messages — with no response. Even on the day of the event, by noon, no one had replied. Only after my partner sent an email did we get a reply — denying the update, saying it needed 48 hours' notice (even though I had tried contacting them more than 96 hours in advance). Later, my planner spoke directly to the restaurant, and they confirmed that 10 guests could be accommodated.
When we arrived, it was heartbreaking. The garden wasn’t set up at all. Chairs were literally thrown onto the grass. There was no arch as promised — despite us being very clear about it in advance. The music from the restaurant was so loud we could barely hear each other during the ceremony. And although we paid for a private space, it was never private — customers from the restaurant were walking through the garden the entire time.
For dinner, they gave us a table for 15 (after previously saying there wasn’t even space for 10). And before 10 PM (even though the restaurant closes at 10:30 PM), they were already cleaning around us, with a cart right by our table, as if trying to make us leave.
It’s honestly so sad that such an important and meaningful day was handled so poorly — with lack of communication, care, and attention. I chose Juniper because I truly think it's one of the most beautiful places in Greenville, and my previous visits were great. But this was heartbreaking — I ended up crying from how...
Read moreAlthough the scenery was magical and gorgeous, I did not have a good experience at #junipergvl . I went for brunch and ordered a very basic breakfast; eggs, toast, chicken sausage, breakfast potatoes. It took FOREVER to come out. Then once it arrived a server name Makayla (NOT MY SERVER), brought it to the table, instead of her coming on MY SIDE of the table TO SIT IT IN FRONT OF ME, she tried to hand it to me from the opposite side of the table, the plate caught on to my glass and she knocked the drink over and spilt it ALL OVER MY DRESS. I WAS MORTIFIED! I kept my cool, she went to get a rag to wipe it up (even though she had one on her waste), and went and told her MANAGER THAT I SPILT THE DRINK ON MY CLOTHES. The manager came over to remedy the situation and told me what she said and just so happened, I had to Yt Ladies sitting next to me and they were like "nooooo", and I said "Could you please tell him the truth of what happened", and they told him the truth. I was so disgusted that she lied, I was too over it. My dress was DRENCHED with sticky apple juice. I was so pissed bcus the girl simply lacked accountability and just couldn't say "I'm sorry". I was doing drink service on a flight this one time and I placed the drink on the passengers tray and the tray collapsed and the drink ended up all over the passengers pants, I was so embarrassed but I must've apologized a hundred times for something I couldn't even foresee coming. She didn't even apologize for the not so wise decision to reach a heavy plate across a sizeable table, knocking a drink over and I was just DONE! The manager apologized for her and offered my food free, but I had lost my appetite and said "no, Thank you, but thanks". I grabbed my...
