Downtown Greenville's newest sushi spot! Located at the former Rick Erwin's Deli. Food - 7 out of 10 Ambiance - 8 out of 10 Service - 6 out of 10 My husband and I came here for lunch since it was the newest/hottest spot in dtgvl for sushi and the few people I've seen post about it have said great things about it. We ordered two of their popular rolls, 2 hand rolls, spicy tuna crispy rice and tuna tataki. PLEASE NOTE and double check when you order because the server gave us two menus where the tuna tataki was two different prices so when I ordered, I did point out specifically the slightly lower priced one but when the bill came out the server told me different. So just make sure you confirm with him before ordering cause I feel like they should have honored that price if that is what you are already showing to customers. The tataki was good other than that. The spicy tuna crispy rice was also good as well. The two sushi rolls that we ordered were.. decent. Edible, lets say. Just a little too sweet? For both my husband and I's taste. I think they just drizzled WAY too much sauce over the rolls to make it look aesthetically presentable. Perhaps cut back on that a little and the rolls will make its way up to being a 9. In the attached photos, you will see where I took a photo of our dish ware to eat on.. oh wait. There wasn't any. The server never once asked came to ask us if we were good or brought out any small plates for us to eat our food on. So I used my little sauce tray that they usually give you for soy sauce as my plate. Luckily it is sushi rolls, so it was small bites that could fit on that tiny saucer! I will have to say that I do very much so appreciate how fresh the tuna is here. I speak only for tuna as that is the only sashimi cut I always get. Konnichiwa just opened in May so I'm thinking they are still working out their kinks for their dishes. They are on the more $$ of sushi spots in dtgvl IMO (Ex. Tuna roll @ other places are typically $5-6, at Konnichiwa it is $8).

Nice sushi restaurant with great outdoor seating. Just a block or two from main street so you don't have constant traffic right by you if you choose to sit outside. Also, the outside seating is covered nicely! Great waitstaff, very friendly and knowledgeable. They have several specials not listed on the menu, so definitely ask about them! We ended up having one of the specials, actually. The baked mussels. They were very good, with crab salad on top. Our next choice was the lobster tempura roll( if I recall correctly) it wasn't coated and fried. Instead, it had fried crab sticks on top for the crunch! It was delicious! Then was the special ramen soup. Now I like ramen... and this was fantastic! Usually, the pork cutlet in Ramen is not very flavorful... but this one was great! Had a sweetness to it I really liked. Also, the egg had a little sweetness, which I enjoyed. Maby a BBQ type sweetness if I had to describe it. Lastly, the picture of the pepper sauce in the cup, that's good stuff! Not to hot but flavorful, just right!

First time visiting. The interior is spacious with high ceilings and an industrial feel. Huge windows illuminate the space, and outdoor seating under an awning-covered patio is available. I had the gyoza and steak bento box, medium rare. The price for both was about 20, and the portions were generous enough for two, or two meals. The gyoza were some of the best I've had locally, light and fluffy with an almost creamy texture to the filling. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the California rolls freshly made and delicious. This is one of the best Bentos in the area for value and taste. The star of the meal was Ko, my waiter. He was polite, charismatic, and holy god, his timing! His sincerity and joy in his job was evident. He moved with the efficiency of a Michelin star server, when presenting dishes, refilling sake, clearing plates, etc. I truly enjoy watching an artist at their craft, so 5 stars for service!

My dad and I were hoping to take my mom out to another restaurant in the vicinity of this one to celebrate Mother's Day. Turns out, we needed a reservation for that restaurant, and we didn't know ahead of time. So we decided to roam around the immediate area and check around to see what was available as an alternative. We saw Konnichiwa across the street and decided to go and try it. I'm glad we did! The food is excellent (and a good value for what you pay for), and the servers/workers were attentive, especially to my mom, who uses a power chair to get around places like this. They held doors open for her and stuff, which was awesome, as a lot of the time that does not happen at restaurants. The atmosphere was a bit loud but tolerable (I think its just the way the building is), and the music they had on was nice and relaxing. They have an outside seating area that looked great, too. The only thing that was a small issue was that it was at times a bit too loud of atmosphere for us to hear our server and there was a bit of an understanding issue (mostly his accent), but we got through it just fine. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, and I would love to come back in the future.

TL;DR: excellent food, great value, ADA friendly, friendly...
