Huguenot Mill and Loft — Local services in Greenville

We loved the Huguenot Loft for our wedding reception! It is so naturally beautiful and classy. I also love the two-room format--we used one room for cocktail hour/dancing and the other for a seated dinner, which worked wonderfully. The staff were on site the day of the wedding and everything was coordinated beautifully. I will warn that it is not all-inclusive and you have to rent everything separately or through them, so the initial cost is deceptive. You also really need a planner on site the day of the wedding to coordinate all of the vendors and set up the reception space. We had some communication difficulty with the staff regarding an alcohol package that was promised to us and later revoked, so make sure everything is spelled out clearly in your contract if any specific agreements are a key part of your decision. Not sure what the big deal is about this spot. It is nice and has a great view of the river. But it is no better than other rental spaces around. I am guessing the big deal about it is that it is downtown and attached to the Peace Center. So if you are looking for that, and cost is not a priority, this is definitely the spot for you.
