This was our second visit after our first was not stellar about a year prior. Always giving an establishment a second chance at providing the best experience, we were looking forward to dining at Limoncello.
Our server took our beverage and appetizer order to start. Both were grand. In the meantime, she took our entree orders. When our entrees arrived they looked inviting. Once cutting into the chicken parmigiana it was obvious that is was undercooked which everyone knows can land you in the emergency room if eaten.
Our server was advised and she had another order made. After the refired entree arrived, it was now cooked properly. Next came a food runner trying to deliver an order of appetizers that belonged elsewhere. Back into the kitchen they went. OK. Mishaps happen. OK.
We had dessert with hot coffee. The only thing was that the coffee was not hot. It was room temperature as if the warmer tray had cycled off. We advised our server and she promptly took them away. Within five or so minutes she returned with very hot coffee that was extremely bitter which to our resembled being microwaved. Not certain but it was beyond dark roast. OK.
During dessert, another food runner appeared with two entrees that were not for our table. He seemed confused and back into the kitchen they went. OK. Can it be that the young group that were all congregating at the hostess station novices and are now on their first outing. Perhaps! OK.
Our server comes by to see how things are and if we needed anything more. She now presents us with a handheld device to pay while she hovered over us. This evening now turned into what resembled a fast food outlet rather than what they present themselves to be. I attempted to review the virtual receipt on the tiny screen and paid.
A few days later I see the emailed receipt and I see they double charged for the chicken parmigiana entree. I called them and left a message and also emailed explaining the situation and simply requested a refund and rebill so all calculation would be correct and clean.
Later a representative called me and we chatted. I was told it would be handled and she would call me back in a few hours. No call came but a text arrived but not with a proper accounting of the error therefore they still owe our funds. I attempted to reconnect with them to no success. So be it.
Well, at this point if they feel doing business in this fashion, so be it. However with the numerous options for dining within Greenville and the surrounding areas, ones dining dollar can be spent elsewhere.

Read moreThe reviews on here about poor service are accurate. Do not come here for a special occasion. We dined here for our anniversary and I really wish we had chosen somewhere else. Or had just gotten up and left. The experience ruined our night.
The day before, we called to reserve a table outside. We were told to make the reservation online instead and so we did and noted it was a special occasion. When we arrived, we waited about 10 minutes in line to be seated, but they were busy and don’t have a dedicated host so we were fine with that. When it was our turn, I asked the host if there was any way we could be on the patio (like we kept trying to reserve!). He said it would be “at least 45 minutes” for a table out there, so we reluctantly agreed to sit inside…. And then watched as the next three groups behind us in line were immediately seated outside. Minutes after we had been seated. After about ten more minutes, we counted two four-tops and three two-tops all empty but needing to be bussed outside. So much for that.
To add to our frustration, we waited a full forty minutes from the time we arrived for our server to take our food order. About fifteen minutes in we got our drink order hastily taken, then didn’t see the server again until the forty mark (the host dropped off the drinks). One of us finished our drink before anyone came by again, and another table that was seated around the same time as us (same server) had appetizers before our order was taken, that is how long it took.
Then we had to wait to eat because we had no napkin rolls or silverware, and had to flag the server down to get some. Our server spent the absolute least amount of time talking to us as humanly possible and did not check in with us like they did the other tables. We were probably obviously frustrated, but we were not in any way rude. We were very disappointed and instead of trying to make it better, they just decided to ignore us more.
The only good part of the night was our food. We enjoyed it and would be back again if it wasn’t for...
Read moreThis was our first restaurant choice when visiting Greenville from Florida. We started with the garlic knots based off of good reviews. We expected them to be light and fluffy and to be covered in garlic but that simply wasn’t the case. They were the complete opposite. Hard as a rock but somehow doughy in the middle which is not a good combo. There was absolutely no garlic to be found and chunks of parmesan cheese falling off of them. Reminded us of fried carnival food. They were so unappetizing that we asked to switch them out with the spinach artichoke dip which happened to be very delicious. Definitely recommend! For the entrees we got the Salmon piccata and the salmon was cooked perfectly. I got my salmon blackened and was so happy with my decision. The Lemon sauce on the noodles was a bit watery but overall was flavorful. Would get again just for that salmon! We also got the creamy tuscan chicken also based off of good reviews. It simply was no good and would never recommend this to anyone. The cost for what it was just wasn’t worth it and there was so many issues. The tomatoes that were in this dish were comically large (see picture) I couldn’t even eat them. The spinach was undercooked and the stems were crunchy. The tomato sauce just tasted like a generic bland grocery store sauce. We were so disappointed because we heard such good things. In a last ditch effort we decided to try and end on a good note with trying their dessert. We ended up getting the Chocolate dipped cannoli which was also highly recommended by staff. Nothing truly special about it. The upsetting part was when they were given to us covered in a generic cheap chocolate syrup which we had no clue would be added when we decided to get them. We tried to scrape it off which just ended badly and messy. Our server Jasmin was the best part! Super friendly and attentive. Honest when asked questions about the menu. We wish...
