THE place to dine while in Greenville! We visit downtown Greenville 2-3 times a year and this is by far our favorite place to eat. We are a family of 4 with two boys ages 11 and 13.
The menu items we have tried so far are their fried green tomatoes, fish and chips, Mac and cheese (main course), grilled salmon, vegetable plate, burgers, chicken and waffles, chicken sandwich, and their steak. Every one of them have been nothing short of great - perfectly prepared, good portions, and VERY delicious. I'm usually a meat and potato type person but the last 3 dinners there have been the vegetable plate with a grilled salmon adder. It is that good.
One thing to note - this place has a VERY good selection for those who have gluten intolerance. Most of the menu items are gluten free. Appetizers, main course, desserts - all have great choices for gluten free needs.
Service every time we visit has always been outstanding. Very prompt, knowledgeable about the entire menu, quick to respond to your needs (although we are usually not very needy as patrons), and very friendly. We've had different waiters each time and they've all been wonderful.
Most of the time reservations are required. It gets that busy there. But...If you are a walk-in with no reservation, they will accommodate you as quick as they can. We most recently went on a Saturday evening in January. The place was very busy but we did not have reservations. We were able to get a table after approximately 20-25 minutes of waiting.
This is not a cheap place, but not overly expensive either. We usually pay over $120 to feed our family of 4 for dinner, but that includes mom and dad having cocktails before entre arrival as well as a few desserts at the end. Considering everything as a whole....the atmosphere, the great service, the food....we feel it is a great overall value and worth the expense.
If you are in the area do yourself a favor and go here. You will not be disappointed. We've recommended it to several friends. A couple of them took up our recommendations and visited recently. One went there a week after we did in January. They were all very...

As an out-of-state visitor to Greenville, I had heard wonders about Nose Dive, so it was the first dinner I ate in the area. I loved it so much, it became the only restaurant I returned to for a second meal!
(An aside: I still crave the food, which is a problem when you live several states away! If you live in the area, know how blessed you are and take advantage of your proximity!)
SOFT BAKED PRETZEL STICKS - The ultimate appetizer. I could go to Nose Dive just to indulge on these. Soft, buttery pretzel bites, fresh from the oven, with a tray of creamy-spicy pepper jack cheese fondue for dipping and dunking. I passed on the Lusty Monk Mustard (too hot for me), but me and my entire table practically fought over who would get the last bite.
CAULIFLOWER-TURMERIC HUMMUS – A great gluten-free option, this might be the most pleasant hummus I've ever tasted. The variety of dipping options, including carrot sticks, cucumber wedges, and crispy tortillas allowed for a variety of taste-and-texture combinations. The vibrant-red, roasted tomato topping, blending with the warm spice of the turmeric, absolutely made it a party in my mouth.
CRISPY SKIN SALMON -- I'm not gluten-intolerant, but this entrée makes a great option for those who are! The salmon arrives steamy-hot with a layer of crispy skin across the top. Surrounded by a beautiful bouquet of color and texture, each fork-tender bite feels unique, catching a bit of spicy chipotle cream here or a bit of creamy roasted mushroom puree there. Served on a bed of wild rice pilaf and green tomato succotash (including corn and edamame), the salmon comes topped with a garnish of microherbs for visual splendor. I told myself I would try something new second time I went to Nose Dive, but couldn't say no to another round of Crispy Skin Salmon. It's...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I went to Nose Dive after a showing of Cirque du Soleil and were told that the wait for two people was going to be about half an hour. The time was about 6 PM and the restaurant seemed to be quite busy so we felt like a half hour wait seemed reasonable and put our names on the wait list.
Within 5 minutes we were sat and had waters poured! My girlfriend and I ordered a mixed drink and a beer as well as an appetizer of truffle fries, all of which came out quickly and tasted wonderfully. For the entrees, my girlfriend ordered the Nose Dive Mac and Cheese, and I ordered the Nose Dive cheeseburger. Though our orders were quite basic, the food was not! The cheeseburger tasted fantastic and the fries were hot and crispy. The Mac and Cheese tasted outstanding and we were both blown away by the portion sizes!
The real bright shining star of this experience was our service. Our server, Connor, was incredibly attentive. Our water glasses were never empty and Connor checked on us often even after we received our food. At no point did I feel like Connor was hovering over our table either, as I could see our server at two different tables doing the exact same! At one point, I asked Connor if I could buy the mac and cheese bowl because we thought it was a nice bowl. Connor contacted his supervisor, and then his general manager, and brought us a clean bowl that he had hand wrapped in napkins so that it would be safe in its bag. I believe that Connor may be the best server I have ever had in the past ten years, possibly ever! The hosting staff was incredibly friendly as well when we walked in!
All in all I would recommend Nose Dive to anyone who is looking to eat somewhere with quality food and service in Greenville. The pricing is fair for the food you get and the atmosphere...
