We have been to Eddie V's several times, as this is a fine dining establishment that we enjoy. The food, service, and environment is always pretty excellent. As it should be for the price you will pay at this establishment. Our recent trip was an Anniversary dinner. Eddie V's offers an extensive seafood menu, some choice beef options, and its wine menu is fantastic. The environment is a little more casual than I'd like for a fine dining establishment; however, that's really not that important. The food was delicious, as always. Fresh, vibrant, and seasoned beautifully. We sat on the patio this time around. Unfortunately, our service was not good—something I would not expect at a restaurant of this quality. The server was just off his game. Very long waits for drinks, errors with appetizers, and lengthy waits between check-ins. That being said, the manager did check in with us toward the end of our meal. We did communicate our disappointment with the service, but let him know the food was still excellent. Within about 10 minutes, he returned with a $50 comp certificate. Something we did not request. This demonstrated this restaurant's commitment to excellence, and furthermore, that the manager that evening truly cared about the performance of the complete experience. On average, you're going to drop $250.00 $300.00 minimum for appetizers, drinks, and entrees (2 people). Therefore, my expectations will be high, and substandard cuisine would not be something I would tolerate. This was not the case at Eddie V's. While the service was extremely substandard, the food was not. The manager clearly cared. We did notice the server comping other tables as well, and the manager was visibly seen watching that performance after the complaints. This is something we appreciated, and we will return without hesitation. I would absolutely recommend Eddie V's. It is a fine dining establishment that truly cares about its quality in all aspects of the dining experience. The food is always exceptional. An off night for the server? Absolutely. However,...
Read moreI was nervous about coming here. I heard that it is fancy. I did not want to wear a dress. I went with tight white pants, a loose dress top and platform shoes. I did not get the hint when my bf was telling me to get my nails done for our 12 anniversary. We’re not vacationing this year and I work in the medical field. So, I did not want to ruin my real nails. We took an Uber because we planned on drinking. There was a Bentley outside, sports car… I thought I would not fit in. The servers are beautiful and super professional. I was like, “Dada look, that waiter looks like Property Brothers!” Then I saw a beautiful customer walk by. Mini dress, looking like a model. When we sat down, I noticed how diverse the customers were. All mixed people and couples. Then I became more comfortable The service was awesome. They cleared the table a couple of times. I tried to hold on to silverware. They said they were bringing new sets. Never had THAT. They were using a tool to scrape bread crumbs off of the tablecloth. We heard music. He mentioned, “Is that a band?” I looked up at the ceiling and saw speakers. I said they’re playing it. Then the more you hear it, that’s a live band. So, we asked our waiter. He said it’s live. We close at 10. They stay til 10:30, 7 days a week. I think, in the lounge? The food was SO GOOD. Their drinks too. Everything beautiful and tasty. The horse radish, I ordered with the steak too, seemed so fresh. I felt so comfortable, being myself, I was making mmmmm sounds. I was not expecting him to propose. Especially, after 12 years. It was a miracle. The one waiter recorded and sent the video to me. It was beautiful! I wish I reacted differently. I was surprised. I just cried. He’s the love of my life. Already thick n thin, we’ve been through. We had such a good experience. I’m bragging left and right about the restaurant, the fancy people and atmosphere, the service, and my RING! (He did a good job. It’s fire 🔥) We are going to bring all of our friends here. I will never...
Read moreMy husband and another couple took me here for my birthday on January 13, 2024. We live here in Greenwood Village and have visited Eddie V's several times. We were seated in the dining room, which lacked the atmosphere of the tables available in the bar lounge. The table did have tiny birthday confetti laid out, and there was a card from Eddie V's (nice touch, but to be accepted at this caliber of restaurant). I had the Ahi Tuna Tartare. This was very good. For my first course, I had the Maine Lobster Bisque. I'm originally from Maine, so when it comes to Lobster Bisque, I am well-schooled. I was underwhelmed. Whole Foods on Hampden and Del Frisco's has better Lobster Bisque. For my main course, I had the Mediterranean Branzino. The fish was dry, and the artichoke and olive topping was tasteless. My husband and I travel regularly to South America and enjoy Argentinian wines. Eddie V only carried one bottle of red Argentinian wine. The bottle was reminiscent of Trader Joe's 2-buck Chuck from the Chuck Shaw collection. The table had Banana Foster faux gratis. It was oh-so bland and stale. All in all, the dinner was 600.00, not including tip, which is not outrageous for a dinner for four. I would have been better served with four shares of Google stock.
The roses they hand out to the ladies used to be lavish and full and lasted for two weeks. What they passed out on January 13 was nothing outstanding. Eddie V's used to be very good when they first opened. Their cocktails and appetizers are still good, but that certain je ne sais quoi worthy of 5 stars has, like Elivis, "has left...
