I have been eating five guys since one opened next to my buddy's appartment in Fort Collins in 2008. The atmosphere, the salty peanuts, the frying tables, the frying pots, the lightly salted but largely untouched beef patties makes for a great experience, regardless of the location you go to. Their shakes are also pretty darn good too! Never had one of their hotdogs, but I am certain they make a good one. All the ingredients appear fresh, burgers, hotdogs, and shakes are made on demand, so you're never getting anything that's been sitting under the heating lamp. You do have to wait for the food to get made. So i guess if you were in a complete rush this might not be the best pick. However, they cook up really fast and I doubt you'd spend more time waiting for your burger to be ready than you waiting in a line of cars for your food at a normal fast food joint. Word to the wise...some managers/cooks are willing to make your burger to order...there have been plenty of times where I was able to receive a five guys burger cooked rare! I would have like to have given more but honestly I don't think the burgers are worth the price. The best part is probably their hours as they're open later than most places nearby, and French fries. As someone who's not a very big fan of fries I don't necessarily go here for that. If you're a French fry lover go for it as you'll get the bang for your buck with it. The burgers on the other hand are SMALL even when ordering the larger size. You can honestly get a better flavored burger and larger one at smash burger.
If you're hungry and this is the only place open then yes I would recommend it. However, if it's in the middle of the day and multiple places nearby are open I would suggest going elsewhere. I personally just don't get how this place can charge so much for...
Read moreTo start off, the prices were ridiculous. A standard double-pattie burger was $7.50, and a cheeseburger was over $8.00. This isn't Las Vegas or the airport, and I can definitely get cheaper Five Guys burgers downtown. Service was OK, but my burger was disappointing: soggy bread, pattie wasn't cooked thoroughly, and they forgot the steak sauce. I was literally the only customer this Sunday afternoon, and if you can't even make a decent burger or put in the right ingredients it leaves a lot to be desired from your service. I didn't have Five Guys in five years, but this was a disappointing experience. Nothing at all like the Five Guys I remember. The owner of this location needs to pick...
