I'm desperately trying to figure out how this place has such high reviews. I stopped in here after another place down the street was closed for lunch and, per the reviews, thought I'd have a fairly good meal. This is what I had instead:

The menu was fairly basic: choose a protein, choose a carb, choose a size then add drink and an eggroll for an extra $3.99.

The girl behind the counter was fun, but for some reason she could barely hear me. At first I thought it was the mask I was wearing or the plastic screen in front of us, but then I noticed she seemed to have that problem with nearly everyone she spoke with.

She told me the orange chicken was delicious and so I chose the orange chicken. Protip: it was not delicious. The breading was too hard and the "orange" was barely noticeable.

The rest of the bowl was unimpressive as well. The brown rice and veggies each took half the bowl, and while the rice was cooked well, it had no pizzazz. The veggies were basically boiled iceberg lettuce and broccoli. Meh.

For $3.99 you can add a drink and eggroll. The eggroll wasn't special, either. I could easily have bought a bag of them from Costco and heated them up myself and had a better one.

All of this for the low-low price of being overpriced. I could have gone to Panda Express and had better orange chicken, more protein and rice or noodles for about half the price. Or had a healthier meal at just about any Pho place.

Also, the kitchen was playing loud Latin music while I was sitting in a place called "Teryaki Madness." It kind of ruined the mood for me.

All I can say is: meh. No...

I've eaten here twice now, and I'll definitely be back for more.

The first time was dine-in and I got a large chicken breast bowl with Yakisoba noodles. They didn't put much teriyaki sauce on it, but there is a bottle next to the soda fountain so you can add more yourself. The noodles were okay (not as good as my favorite sushi place), but the chicken was great and there was a lot of it. Their teriyaki sauce is fantastic.

I looked a bit closer at the menu while I was eating and saw there was an option to "make it spicy", which I'd originally missed. I love spicy food so I was kinda sad but hey, I'll get it spicy next time.

Last night I ordered online for pickup. Got the large chicken breast bowl, spicy, with brown rice, a side of edamame, and an extra side of their spicy sauce. Wooooow. I don't think I've ever had spicy food with that much flavor before. So many places are "all heat, no flavor". It was delicious. There wasn't a ton of heat (maybe equivalent to a "medium spicy" at a good Thai restaurant), but so much flavor. The chicken had been tossed in the sauce, rather than it just being poured on top and it was all well coated. The rice was that shorter grain brown rice that's soft and fluffy, not the kind that's noticeably harder than white rice and makes your jaw sore from chewing before you finish your meal. The side of edamame came in a pretty small box, but since it was just for me it was more than enough. I will definitely be back for some more of that spicy chicken breast in...

There's nice customer service and there's effective customer service. Teriyaki Madness has mastered both.

Yesterday I stopped by the Teriyaki Madness off Arapahoe Road for a bowl of their spicy chicken fried rice. It's absolutely fantastic.

I walked inside and I saw a customer rambling on her phone, holding up the line.

This customer was reciting the menu over the phone to their friend. Ugh.

Who doesn't google the menu of the restaurant before going there anymore?!

I was distraught. This was going to add minutes to my order. MINUTES!

Luckily, the person behind the counter saw an opportunity and called me up. I told her my order, paid, and had my food in a minute.

I'm not sure what happened to the lady on the phone. I imagine that she is still rambling on her phone at the counter of Teriyaki Madness. Her dumb friend is asking for clarifications about what's in their chicken fried rice. I don't know.

What I do know is that Teriyaki Madness is a clean restaurant with prompt service, delicious food, and an amazing staff.

10/10...

1/8/22-Way overpriced for the quality you get. On the chicken bowl some of the chicken was really burnt and hard. The spicy tofu was bland with no spice at all. The portion for the appetizer was really small for the price. At other places the same size would run you about $3. The only good thing I can say about the place is that they cooked the veggies correctly, but then they even messed that up because they did not drain them enough before serving. All that extra water in the bowl diluted what little sauce the had put on the food. Won't be coming back. As to their response to me, they can saw whatever they want about the quality of their food, but if your customers do not get that high quality it's just lip service instead of a good product. There should be consistency in your product and if others get as bad of food as we got no one should eat here. Improve each meal that leaves your kitchen and make sure you treat everyone equally as well.

I finally had the opportunity to try TM. I was impressed with the options to create the perfect meal. I loved that there was a focus on freshness and made to order. I really loved the spicy chicken. I had all noodles but you can. Get 3 types of rice, noodles and veggies. I ordered a. Spicy chicken with all noodles and requested extra chicken thinking the portion would not be ample. I was wrong , it was abundant, full of flavor and lived up to the name. You also can choose from chicken, spicy chicken, salmon, tofu, and steak. The egg roll was good and fried dumplings satisfied. I didn’t care for the ginger dipping sauce but it’s more so a personal preference not that it was bad. Restaurant was clean, music that was appropriate and most of all the staff understood the meaning of hospitality. Definitely give them a try. I gave 5 stars because it exceeded my expectations.
